I had just adopted my Mushroom and I noticed that she just didn’t like any wet foods, so I wanted to make sure that she was getting a good amount of water. I had researched that cats like fountains, but I was a little skeptical. I thought maybe it would accidentally splash on her face or be too loud, but she LOVES it! I have to refill it every week because she drinks from it so much. She will wake up in the middle of the night and know exactly where to go. I keep it in the area where she plays the most too. She was a little timid at first, but now she is comfortable. It isn’t very loud either, when the tv is on or you are watching something on your phone- you can’t hear it at all, but when it’s dead silent- it actually is like a peaceful flow of water. I find myself enjoying listening to it LOL. I definitely recommend giving this a shot. Cleaning is pretty simple. I was nervous with it being plastic, but as long as you clean it regularly- you should be good in avoiding bacteria growth. And the filters don’t cost a lot and you only have to replace it once a month depending on how dirty it gets. I will be purchasing another one for the second room when we get her a friend!
I got this item in December, really more like January 2022 because I received it on December 30 th. My cats loved it. Unfortunately it didn’t last very long. My husband and I went out of town over the weekend and it was not even running water anymore. Who knows when my cats stopped drinking water because no one was home. It only lasted a little over 3 months which was not worth the purchase.
I decided to finally get this fountain for my 8 year old kitty cat! I had noticed that she wasn’t getting enough water during the day while I was at work or that her water bowl would frequently have “stale” water that I was always switching out. So I switched her to the fountain within less than a week of having the fountain out and a bowl of water she would always choose the fountain ! She loves it. Only down side is frequently replacing the filters because my beloved Rue loves to put food in her water dish but other than that good product !
This is the second one I purchased. The first one I bought from Chewy lasted over 1.5 years and would have lasted longer if I didn’t break the motor while cleaning it. I like this one because it’s easy to clean (just don’t aggressively clean the motor like I did). My cats love it, they took to it almost immediately. The motor is a bit loud, especially if the water is low (the new one is way louder than the previous one). But it’s just become background noise at this point. Reviews are definitely mixed on this, but my overall experience has been positive.
My cats absolutely love this cute fountain. Within a few days they abandoned their water bowl and now exclusively drink from the Catit Flower Plastic Cat Fountain.
Used with veterinarian direction, this med helps the itching.
