Allergy Dilemma

Chewy was able to provide me with my dog's allergy pills, then my vet's office could not. My dog would have suffered needlessly if I had waited to purchase them

When my vet could no longer get this medication, I was scrambling because I have 2 cats on it. The sales person helped me through the process and everything was resolved. She gave me accurate information about the delivery time so I could take emergency measures in the meantime. Price was great as well.

Great for discoid lupus

This product has worked very well for my Maremma's discoid lupus without the side effects that he got with prednisone. But now it is out of stock - yikes!

We tried this for our dog's ear tip vasculitis. Our vet told us it is stronger than prednisone, which didn't work for her. This didn't either, and came with a host of side effects - significant hair loss and weight gain, accidents in the house, very nasty flatulence. We are now slowing weaning her off this, as must be done with all corticosteroids. (Hopefully she will recover from the side effects once she is off of it completely.) What did work amazingly well for her was cold laser therapy. No side effects, and it took just a couple of minutes a day. We had to try a stronger unit (as the first weaker one did not work) but within two weeks she was completely healed. It's been a few weeks since we stopped, and so far so good. She may need periodic treatment since it is not a cure, but I would gladly do that rather than trying drugs again.

Same as what I get at Vet but for Half the Cost

Same prescription I get from my vet (only the generic version) and half the price. Quick response time from Chewy.

My cat, Chester is back on this steroid after being off of it for quite a while. He had so many sores on his back and I knew that he was really suffering. When the veterinarian said, Chester needs to be kept on the medicine for the rest of his life To ensure a great quality of life from here on out.

This plus Apoquel and my 14 yr old Pom is like a puppy again. It’s amazing. I didn’t realize how much her allergies plus itchy skin and ears were affecting her life until she started taking these. All I can say is amazing!!! She’s eating again and not sleeping all the time. She actually runs and plays. Thrilled with the new life in my dog!!

My cat, Jack, is 17 years old. He has had irritable bowel syndrome for years, and he's been taking Vetalog (Chewy sells generic) for years. Original prescription was for 2-3 times a week, but we've had to increase that over time. It helped tremendously to decrease the bouts of vomiting and diarrhea from every day to maybe once a week. Given his age, I guess there aren't too many negative effects from long term use. He clearly has some arthritis, but Vetalog is supposed to be good for that, too. I have to wonder how bad it would be without the drug, but I certainly don't want to find out! I would give 5 stars, but no drug will get 5 stars from me until it's made so that a cat will eat it like a snack rather than having to jam it down their throat. Is that so much to ask?
