Solved the small dog problem
By Aussiemom on Feb 1, 2022
We got this to keep our dog out of the litter box. It works! I keep a stool in front of the opening, so our chunky cat can easily enter, but she can jump in without it. Our litter box has high sides, but I do have to clean a little strewn litter inside and near the box. A hand vac takes care of it in a couple of minutes. I am super happy with this purchase.

Great for the price but wobbly
By whydidigetacat on Jan 3, 2022
I give it 5 stars because it's exactly what I needed to keep my dog from eating out of the litter box. It looks so much nicer than any other box or diy that I've tried. My (very) fat cat took to it right away. It keeps litter off the floor. The only issue is that it's not very sturdy. I think I'm going to put wood glue on all the seams and clamp it together until it dries. If that doesn't work then I'll try adding extra hardware to hold it together

Flimsiest as heck
By Laura on Sep 5, 2021
This was easy to put together, however, be sure to have a bottle of glue ready to hold it together, because the dowels were too small for the holes, and the screw and cams barely latched. I’m pretty sure the glue is what’s holding the box together. That being said, it works great for keeping our dogs from eating the cat poop, and is fantastic with some astroturf on the middle shelf for capturing the litter before the cats land in the floor. I barely have to sweep litter anymore, and just love it.

Great for no tracking
By TNsunshine on Oct 7, 2021
This has been amazing for helping the tracking of litter issue in my home. I added a mat inside and also outside to help knock off all the litter from my cats paws prior to him walking on the flooring. It has been amazing.

Keeps litter inside, hard to get pee smell out of, large box but small inside
By broke on Sep 20, 2021
I have two kittens, a boy and girl, both fixed. The boy is large and the girl is normal size. This has worked out fairly well with a couple of exceptions. The good: The litter doesn't get on the floor as much. I have a litter mat on the top shelf and that seems to keep it inside when my boy flings litter like he's throwing a party. The cats got used to it very quickly. I worried it was too high, but they've easily adapted to leaping in and out of it. the not as good: I can't get the pee smell out of it. I've scrubbed the inside with cleaner, but I can't get the urine smell out. Not sure if one peed outside the box or not because there wasn't any moisture, but it's stuck to the inside. This would be 10x better if it was treated with something that made it easier to clean. I'm worried that using cleaners inside it will eventually cause the wood to deteriorate. It's also big and a little hard to reach in there and clean. It fits a normal sized litter box but there's a lot of extra room. It's a little too small for my big guy. He's pooped right outside the box because he can't get a good position. His other litter box he does just fine. So either make the unit smaller to better fit a normal litter box and not be such a huge piece of furniture or make it slightly bigger to fit the grand poop box. The funny - with the little holes on the side, sometimes one cat will stand outside and stick their paw in while the other one is pooping and then you see a paw come out from the inside. Siblings tormenting each other in the bathroom I guess! … more

Perfect for our cat
By Tylou on Nov 15, 2021
Very easy to put together. Also my cat went inside quick with no issue. Since he used the top opening clever litter box, hence I had to get this for him. Works great

Wanted To Love This
By CG13 on Jul 27, 2021 top1000Contributor
I reeaaalllly wanted to love this. This piece is huge, which is great because I'm able to put a top entry litter box in the bottom and it's a perfect fit. I also love that it's top entry because my little dogs love to get into the litter box to snack. The cabinet itself isn't as sturdy as I'd like which is a problem because my cats who think they're acrobats jump/fly off of every piece of furniture they can. My cats aren't too enthused about it yet and the top shelf is slippery for them so I'll need to put something down, but I think they'll get used to it. There are some manufacturer imperfections that I can live with, but one on top looks like someone ran a box cutter across. It's hard to see I reeaaalllly wanted to love this. I'm hoping I can fill it in and cover it. For the price, I just expected more. All in all, it's just okay, if I saw it on display at a store, I wouldn't have purchased it, but it would be too much of a hassle to return. … more

absolutely obsessed
By ashe on Apr 14, 2021
there weren’t a lot of reviews for this thing, so here i am. this thing is so sturdy and it looks so great. my cat was definitely wary of hopping down into the bottom at first but after forcing her down there she understood pretty quickly and has been using the bathroom since. it was also not super difficult to build at all! ive had issues with ikea furniture and mounting doors not perfectly straight before but this wasn’t too hard. the instructions are also pretty easy to follow and it has extra pieces in case you lose something. you will need two different screwdriver sizes. i had to guess what would fit inside, but let me just say it’s way bigger than i thought it would be. i put a standard there weren’t a lot of reviews for this thing, so here i am. this thing is so sturdy and it looks so great. my cat was definitely wary of hopping down into the bottom at first but after forcing her down there she understood pretty quickly and has been using the bathroom since. it was also not super difficult to build at all! ive had issues with ikea furniture and mounting doors not perfectly straight before but this wasn’t too hard. the instructions are also pretty easy to follow and it has extra pieces in case you lose something. you will need two different screwdriver sizes. i had to guess what would fit inside, but let me just say it’s way bigger than i thought it would be. i put a standard vizio tv remote on top of it for reference. also the doors have a magnetic closure which makes it feel really expensive. anyways i bought the “pet magasin cat litter mats, 2-pack” size small. it comes with two mats and i put the smaller one inside on the top level. my cat still gets some litter on the floor but it’s not bad (at least so far). for the litterbox it should fit any large size but specifically i bought the “arm & hammer sifting cat litter pan, large” and it fits perfectly in the bottom with room to spare. i also got the “frisco cactus cat scratching post” in the 22-inch size to put on top if you were wondering what that was. my cat is an adult but she is slightly smaller than average for reference. my bigger cats could probably easily fit in there as well but i haven’t seen them go in there yet. i also think that if you did want to use this to put an electric feeder in the bottom instead, you could definitely fit a standard plug through the “sun” cutouts on the side. … more
