The weight limit for the Medium is approximately 48 pounds. The weight limit for the Large is approximately 66 pounds.

will this work with an electric assist bike with Shimano gears?

Trixie Dog Bike Trailer is designed to be attached to the rear wheel of a normal bicycle. It has not been tested for electric bicycles or use with specific gears.

How and where does this attach to the bike?

Trixie bicycle trailers are attached to the bike with the included hitch. This is a universal hinge that fits most bikes. Please see the attached images below.

What type of pump do you need to put air in the tires? The valve is not normal??

This trailer comes with a separate air valve adapter hardware so it can be used with a European size pump or a USA pump.

Large is not large... enough

Large definitely would not fit a 'large' dog. It would be suitable for a medium dog. Do not be mislead by the German Shepard in the photo or the weight max as both

Do not be mislead by the German Shepard in the photo or the weight max as both do not matter if your dog is too big to fit in the compartment. I've never shipped anything back to Chewy before and shipping a 40+ lb awkward box back is not going to be fun or inexpensive.

I've been wanting a bike trailer for years and am delighted with the Trixie bike. The German construction is solid, sensible, durable and the designer has thought of everything . . . I mean, everything. It was easy to set up and attach to my bike. My dog Zoli and I are so happy. He is 36 pounds and we bought a medium trailer. I highly recommend this carrier.
