But use a heavy towel or similar to keep your vehicle from getting scratched. The little square of fabric provided tends to move out of place while in use with my 60 lb dog. It took a few training sessions involving treats with my dog but he caught on. My back and shoulders are grateful.

These steps are truly a life saver for our dogs. They weigh 45 and 85 pounds and are 11 yrs old. Our truck is too high for them to safely jump into/out of anymore. They’re impatient so they frequently climb up or down at the same time and these stairs hold them both! I don’t recommend that but it happens regularly with our dogs. We’ve used the stairs for a year now and love them. Highly recommend them. They’re sturdy, super easy to use, and durable.
Sturdy, stable, easy to use. Perfect

These steps are a lifesaver. Had planned to get them when my dog was two years old, as jumping in and out of a car for 16+ years takes a toll on joints. Then, at the age of three, she had to have knee surgery. so steps were even more important. We have used them, every day, for almost a year now. They are sturdy, well-made, and are a breeze to use. Only had to put treats up the steps the first day. After that, she goes up and down the steps happily.

Very hard to find steps that will fit the narrowness of GMC Terrain door opening. Still undecided if keeping. It scratched the framework of my suv. Doesn’t fit so Tallulah can go in the back seat as she is accustomed to. I’m working with her to get used to the steps and get in the front seat. Had to put a life jacket on her with handles to lift her onto the steps. She is 90 lbs and the steps held her fine but I needed my neighbor to help me which defeats the purpose of getting her places by myself.

Contrary to some reviews and questions, which I checked before purchasing, this does not work well with my SUV side door. If I want to use it, I have to put part of the back seat down, set it up in the cargo area, and have Ana go up and cross over to the backseat. It’s problematic if the car is loaded. So, it’s taking up space in my cargo area. Good thing it folds. I’ve also pinched my fingers several times. Just not happy with this purchase. Not even sure if Chewy will take it back.
Sturdy & Compact

My dogs took to this stair-type ramp immediately. I had previously tried a plastic ramp but it was too steep for my dog to feel secure scrambling up. The stairs are gradual and wide enough for my 50 lb. dog to climb without anxiety. You do need to be careful with folding them not to pinch your fingers between the steps. It even comes with a small tarp that protects your vehicle from scratches.
So easy to use
We tried the ramp - it was a definite no-go! Mystic Dawn loves these steps. She feels secure using them. She is 85+lb German Shepherd and has arthritis in hips

Great item!
I have a 65 pound lab/rott mix that is getting older. Her joints are starting to bother her and jumping in and out of my Bronco wasn't in her best interest anymore
I have a 65 pound lab/rott mix that is getting older. Her joints are starting to bother her and jumping in and out of my Bronco wasn't in her best interest anymore. I bought this to see if it could help. Luckily, my girl took to it after practicing maybe 3 times. I have to guide her on it, and make sure I tell her to sit before I have a chance to set up to let her out. But, it works great! Feels sturdy and is light enough to fold up quickly and keep in my trunk. Im soooo grateful she took to it!
Great option for your older dogs
