Questions & Answers

We have 4 cats who weigh between 9 &18 pounds. Will these posts, hammocks & condos support that kind of weight? One cat is part Maine Coon. He only weights 14 lbs, however, he is 39 inches from tip of nose to tip of tail and is 17 inches tall when he sits. Will he fit in the condo / hammock?
Answer by ChewyJul 16, 2020
This cat lounge & condo has a recommended weight capacity up to 12 pounds. For larger cats, the Trixie Dayna 59.8-in Faux Fleece Wall Mounted Cat Tree would be a great alternative option (holds up to 14 pounds).

So this does not come with the 2 smaller posts to get up to the hammock and condo. Correct?
Answer by ChewyMar 10, 2020
This set includes two steps, a kitty hammock and a plush-lined condo with removable cushion.

Is there something you put onto the post, once the big cat bed/hiding hole is attached to them, to secure it? Otherwise you just slid the posts into the holes??? How do you keep it from possibky sliding back off?
Answer by ChewyJul 04, 2020
When assembled correctly the shelves should remain securely anchored to the wall and metal holders. Navigate to the "Instructions" tab to find the "Assembly Instructions".

are these washable?
Answer by ChewyFeb 13, 2020
This lounge set and condo can be hand washed.

cute/bad instructions

Know what you’re getting into here. Get your level, a drill with appropriate bit and a stud finder. The template for marking your stud location is nice. But the directions will tell you to use the shorter screw holder for the steps and the longer one for the little hideout. Do the opposite. You’ll need the longer one for the steps. It needs to got through more items. Before affixing the hammock to the wall, using the Allen wrench screw the hammock holders into the apparatus that affixes to the wall. All in all I like this but the directions need to have more detail. That’s why I give 4 stars.

Some parts salvageable

The hammock is, indeed, too low quality for me to even begin to believe my large cat wouldn't fall right through the moment he laid on it so I didn't even bother putting it up. The large cubby is incredibly heavy, so if you trust the screws it could be ok but having such a heavy object plus a heavy cat jumping on it? I don't trust it. I think the wall scratch posts could be salvageable as part of a different system. Overall if you have a heavy cat, I wouldn't get this.

Great for My Cat

As many reviewers said, this is not particularly easy to install but it's doable in a reasonable amount of time. You will need a good stud finder. The main problem I had was my studs are spaced differently than the wall mounts. I only had to use 1 drywall anchor for the hammock and was able to get everything else in the studs. My cat absolutely loves this! She spends most of her time in the hammock which is anchored directly below the ceiling. She gets in the condo occasionally. She loves running up into the hammock.

cats are obsessed

My cats absolutely love this, it’s a good quality and extremely sturdy. I do suggest paying attention to yours cats needs when setting up. I have one cats who is a little thick. And she can’t jump as good as my other so we adjusted it for her and she has gotten so much better and loves spending time up there definitely would buy again

Bad hammock

My cats loved this system, but I got home from work today and found the hammock all floppy. It feels like the back piece is broken on the inside. The condo and posts have been fine, but now I've got to figure out something new to put where the hammock was. If the hammock was stronger I would have given 5 stars, but this was too much time and money for something that would only last a few months. My cats are all quite small so I know the weight limit wasn't exceeded.

cheaply made

This set took extra materials to place on the wall in order to actually stay sturdy. I’ve had this set on my wall for about 2 weeks and the hammock already broke. I am taking this set down, because I am scared my bengal is going to get hurt.

A Cat Favorite

While the product was not easy to place on the walls, the frustration was worth it for these shelves, as my cats can't get enough! If we ever can't find our cats, we know they're in the hidey-hole, which is big enough to fit two of our cats. These shelves have added a new terrain to play time and are great for enrichment!

We love this!

My cat loves using the wall mounts. She used to always try and walk on the desk while I work but now she watches what I do from the mount and doesn't try to walk all over my computer. The cubby is her favorite since she now has a hiding spot in the living room she can stay in. She loves being able to scratch it as well. The only down side is that she still hasn't figured out how to walk on the smaller cylinder steps, but hopefully with practice she'll get more confident using them. Putting them up wasn't difficult and they are very sturdy for my 13lb cat.

Lasted less then a month

Pulling them out of the box they seem heavy and well made but found out shortly after installation that’s not the case. My cat is only 5 lbs and loved the hammock. In just 3 weeks one side started pulling away from the backing which looks like heavy cardboard. Just a few weeks later it’s completely broken. With all the time and effort it takes to install them, it’s super disappointing that it didn’t even last a month.

Cheaply made I don't want to give it even one star

The hammock backing piece broke within a week of receiving it. My cat jumped to the hammock about 12 inches from the oval piece shown and the back board broke and folded in on the hammock. My cat is 2 years old and not overweight it's just cheap particle board.
