Not for Outdoor use
I reviewed the models available at Chewy and settled on the 44120 model which has plastic strips over the opening. The hinges are on the outside and exposed to the weather and will rust. The hinges were put on backwards and I had to take them off and put them on correctly. The roof does not cover the back wall. There is a space which allows the rain to get in. I will have to put weather stripping in the space so the cat won't get wet. The hinges on the model that I bought last year are on the inside and the roof has an over hang in the back. This house has design flaws and is not made for outdoor use.
Cat House
This little house is adorable, easy to assemble and is well-designed. However, the cats don't seem to share our enthusiasm. We haven't seen any evidence that have gone inside and tried it out. We're trying different locations in hopes one of them will discover how awesome it is inside.
It's Better Than Nothing
Easy to put together and looks good but the walls feel like it was made out of those wooden stir sticks for stirring your paint. I will spend extra money to fix it up for Michigan winter and if that doesnt work I will bring kitty inside. Seems for the price it would be made out of better wood? I would recommend if they changed the type of wood but for what it is made out of I say no.
Okay, sort of...
Positives - solid piece of outdoor pet furniture with some added features. The roof lifts up, and it has a latch to keep it in place. It has a neat little door with plastic flaps, so the door can remain open while still providing some protection to the elements. Material is sturdy. Negatives - construction and assembly. The roof has a crumbly texture that seems to come off kind of easy. It was difficult to handle without having it make a mess. I had an issue with assembly. Part of it was pre-installed incorrectly, specifically the rear hinges on the roof; or maybe the hinges on the house? Either way, I had to unscrew and reinstall both several times to finally get the roof to line up and slide into the house hinges. That was mainly because the cut-out made for the hinges was not level/flush. Also partly because I confused myself trying to fix the initial issue. The inside floor is missing a hole to secure it to the bottom. Not a huge deal because the floor can just be laid down without screwing it in. I personally didn't find this a negative, but since neither of my cats has shown any interest in it whatsoever, I'm assuming it's because of this... but... the product has a very strong natural wood odor when you open the box and assemble. It's been at last a month, but neither has used it, so it's elevating their scratching post on the patio. I purchased it to try to get my one cat to stop burrowing under the outdoor carpet, but he still prefers to lay between dirty concrete and fake grass.
A stray outdoor cat
I bought it for an outdoor cat that always comes around and we feed them every day. But I can’t tell if he’s actually sleeps in it.

The quality is nice. The color is super cute. Only gave it 4 stars because I didn't care much for the roof. Feel it's a bit much. Easy to put together. Bought it on sale but wouldn't pay full price for it.
Good product, but could be better.
Purchased this on their sale price. Not bad, but it did have some issues. There was some damage to the wood due to poor internal packaging. There were also some screw holes missing, but that was an easy fix. Wood is a soft pine. Descent coverage from the elements. The roof hatch does have a gap, so I will need to add some weather strip to seal it. Overall, good product but definitely not worth it at full price.
Easy to assemble
Easy to assemble, sturdy and looks nice! I purchased this for my small rabbits to have a little hideaway spot but my cats were very interested in it as I put it together, so I will be purchasing one for them as well very soon.
Outstanding Cat House
Was easy to put together , well made and very durable. Have placed it outside on our covered porch and we have 2 outside cats that have made good use of it everyday. So far has kept all inside very dry and comfortable. Well done!!
