Would this house be comfortable for a large 14 lb cat to sleep in or at least escape the elements? Our cat is larger and heavier than our Chiweenie 🤷‍♀️

There is plenty of room in there for large-xtra large kitty. I had mine set up during winter rain and snow as well as hot sunny sumner days! I had a large feral all winter. This is a great little shelter. Add an outdoor heat pad and they will stay warm and dry.

Can the door flaps be removed or left off?

The cat flaps on this house are not designed to be removable. They come pre-installed on the pieces they go on.

I did have some damage to the walkway upon delivery. The material is thin and cheap so I am unsure of the “insulated part” holes were almost all pre drilled we did

I did have some damage to the walkway upon delivery. The material is thin and cheap so I am unsure of the “insulated part” holes were almost all pre drilled we did have to do a few. I honestly believe the quality isn’t worth the price tag. The directions left out some steps and we had to wing it. The cat doors were not attached and the felt and magnets that keep it closed had fell off during shipping so we had to use gorilla glue to put everything back. The house did smell of maybe glue or paint upon putting it together. It does look nice, it’s off the ground. I am using this outside on my covered porch so I would be leery of backyard use. The cat doors can be locked or open and do like it had an escape hole. The quality just wasn’t up to par with price and it disappoints me to write this.

Too small of an entrance

The overall construction is adequate but the door is way too small. I removed the door and the opener ng was still too small. Finally I removed evens the framing

A can would need to be on the BERY small side to use this house. We had hoped to replace our plastic Igloo but we will just need to keep using it.

ok but very smelly

it's definitely cute. It was a little bit of a nuisance to put together--lots of predrilling to do and roof didn't align flush. The worst part about it was that

The worst part about it was that we couldn't put it together inside because the fumes from the materials were very strong! I had to scrub it down outside and air it out for a month before we could work on it. If you are sensitive to odors, look out.
