Give your kitty the secure and relaxed environment she wants with the TRIXIE Outdoor Wooden Cat Patio. Constructed using weather-treated, non-toxic pine wood, this adorable home can endure years of use with very little maintenance. The front door folds down to serve as a ramp, and when it’s not being used, you can close it tight with a slide lock—keeping any uninvited guests from entering. It sits on an elevated foundation that promotes air circulation, which protects your pet from ground chill and wet conditions. And if you want to take a peek inside, the hinged roof opens from above. It’s also great for indoor use!

I would not put this outside for my cat. It's got to many gaps and thin cheap wood. Somebody must have been sleeping when they glued the cat condo logo upside down on the house. Very disappointed in this product!
The cathouse is easy to assemble. The back hinges are kind of a pain to get lined up right while holding the lid up - it takes two people. Would have been nice if they predrilled those holes but if you have a drill and a friend you can do it, no problem. It has a strong smell to it that gets better after being outside for a night. It's very cute and feels sturdy. Once we get a pad inside I'm sure our kitty will love napping in it.
Bought for two wee feral cats it was easy to put together and it's lovely and a good size pray they will use it
Bought this for the feral kitties. It's cute but it isn't grey, it's more of a aqua color. Very easy to assemble.
we have a handful of stray cats in our neighborhood and it gets below freezing in texas winters. last year we put out a cardboard box for the cats and kittens and a handful came up and slept in it so this year we decided to protect them even more with this casita. the wood is really quality and it was easy to assemble (I even threw on a quick coat of paint to match our house lol) they also really like to sit on top of it like a tower. great purchase!
I think it is just adorable. I hope the outside kitties will use it when the weather gets colder or when it's raining. I might have to get another one! Easy to assemble.
Easy to assemble, goes together quickly. The feral cat wasn't a fan of the plastic covering the entrance so I removed it. My major complaint is that the back part where the roof hinges doesn't overlap the back edge so every time it rains/snow melts on the roof, water gets inside through the seam. I placed a plastic trash bag along the back and tucked it in to solve that. Since Ferals don't like to feel trapped I wish they would have a back exit for this house, maybe covered by the see thru plastic door for that quick escape if needed. I loved that the inside easily fits a heated pad in the winter or towels for added comfort. Any pad that claims to fit in a small dog crate will fit in this condo. Overall, very cute and functional. Just need to improve the design of the roof a little to provide overhang on all sides.
is it just me or is a cat in a house the cutest thing
This was fairly easy to put together except when it comes to attaching the lid. You either need to balance it on something or have someone help. Other than that, I put it together in less than 15 minutes. The wood does have an odor once you pull it out of the box. Hoping it will go away once placed outside. This is not insulted and air can get through the spaces in the wood on the flooring. This is perfect for our feral cat in the warmer weather. I would not recommend as a winter house without adding some insulation. Overall, for the money, it seems like a nice house. I'm not sure how long the untreated wood will last once exposed to the elements. For this reason, I'm only giving it 4 stars. NOTE: We have a separate insulated and heated K&N house (that I added an extra layer of insulation) for our feral cat in the winter. Because we don't have a covered porch, we place that house under our patio table to protect it from rain and snow. We use the table in the warmer weather so I wanted a house that can be exposed to the elements during this time. It took our feral cat 3 years before she would go into the heated house. I'm hoping she won't be as cautious this time. We have been feeding her for 7 years and it's been slow getting her to trust us. She finally started bumping her head into our hand when we go out there. She's almost fully deaf so I don't know how much longer we will have her around.
Unfortunately not only will my cat not use it, it was already falling apart by the time I got it. It made a mess and fell apart more after some rain. It’s a cute hut but it just wasn’t what I needed.
