This food dispenser features two sections with separate timers. It lets you feed two pets at once or you can set two different feeding times for one pet.

What is the minimum time increment for the timer? Can it be set to open as early as 1 hr. or 30 min. from when it’s first set? Or does it have to be programmed much earlier?

Can it be used manually instead of automatically? Thinking about these for baby proofing but she isn't on a set schedule

Automatic Feeder

This is a low cost automatic feeder with a turn dial timer. I'm using it to give my dog treats when I'm not home, to encourage her to move her arthritic legs more

This is a low cost automatic feeder with a turn dial timer. I'm using it to give my dog treats when I'm not home, to encourage her to move her arthritic legs more often. I placed it next to my refrigerator so the lid makes a noise when it opens, and she has already learned to come to the feeder when she hears the sound. I've used several other automatic feeders in the past, and for this purpose this one works well. The dial makes it nearly impossible to be precise with time increments, so in my opinion this is not a good feeder for medications or food that need to be given at exact times.

Never worked

I never had the chance to use this. The manual indicated that it took 2 AA batteries but the battery compartment only had room for 1 battery. When I installed

Unreliable

The bowl lids don’t open all the time. I put new batteries and everything so the timer is operational. It will also go down to zero but there is a little bit caught

Doesn't Work

While the concept of this product is good, the product itself is far from it. Tested it out before leaving our kittens for the weekend so that they wouldn't be left

While the concept of this product is good, the product itself is far from it. Tested it out before leaving our kittens for the weekend so that they wouldn't be left unable to eat..and I must say I'm glad we did otherwise they would not have been properly fed. The lids don't pop open when they're supposed to and to make matters worse I reached out to customer service to return the item and some time had gone by without getting a refund so I reached back out and was told the wrong item was received. I essentially got a refund but was told this would be a one time thing. So I'm being faulted for something I didn't even do. I sent the dispenser back, not sure who mixed what up during my return but it's just ridiculous the customer gets punished for mistakes of the employees.

I kept changing the battery, but feeders would not open regularly & dial kept getting tighter on one side. May be defective & will return. Otherwise I liked it

Poor quality, never worked

The item arrived in non-working condition. It never worked. Never opened, the timer didn’t work. I had to go buy a different brand feeder.
