This food dispenser features two sections with separate timers. It lets you feed two pets at once or you can set two different feeding times for one pet.
What is the minimum time increment for the timer? Can it be set to open as early as 1 hr. or 30 min. from when it’s first set? Or does it have to be programmed much earlier?

This pet food dispenser can be set between 1 and 48 hours.
Can it be used manually instead of automatically? Thinking about these for baby proofing but she isn't on a set schedule

TIMERS ARE WAY OFF

I was very excited to try a timed feeder for occassions when I would be away for an overnight trip. Sadly the times were quite a bit off. I have 2 cats so the tops need to pop open within a few minutes of one another. When I was testing it I initially set each side to 2 hours, they opened 28 minutes apart. When I set them for 24 hrs they opened over 2 hrs apart. If a person was willing to spend some time figuring out the actual intervals it might be ok for a single pet. Helen from customer service gladly gave me a refund.

Automatic feeder

Definitely does its job! It requires a little bit of thinking to calculate how many hours to set the timer for, but I'm sure that's true of most timed feeders. It does make a slight ticking noise (almost like a small clock) even when not in use that annoyed me a bit, but I stuck it in a closet and can't hear it anymore. This feeder is a great option and the price can't be beat!

Great Concept, Not Well Executed

The instructions and idea behind the item is simple and straight forward. The timer has a long plastic piece that when the timer winds down to 0, it fits through the groove and opens the lid. However, the timing is way off. I set both sides to 5 hours without food to ensure they were accurate, 1 side opened about 7 hours later the next was about 6.5 hours. The included ice packs would keep wet food cool for maybe 6/7 hours, and I guess if your pet is determined, they could easily pop the lid open. I reached out to the manufacturer to see who provides them with the timing mechanism (to hopefully get advice or purchase a separate timer), but they haven't responded yet. Once I can get the time accurate within 30 mins or less, it would help me with my morning routine since Daisy demands breakfast before anything else :) #ChewyTeamRated

Do not buy this product

I read the reviews saying that some people had issues with their dogs getting into the feeder... well, it turns out cats can too! My food-motivated kitty had broken the code on this thing within ONE HOUR of me setting it up. Do not recommend!!

took about 2 minutes for my cats to open

I ordered two of these. One for each of my cats and they were on the floor for all of two minutes before they had the lid open and the timer ever popped off one of them. Do not waste your time or money
