Our active boy is always finding ways to get stinky. From jumping in the puget sound, to rolling around in the bark yard at daycare, he knows how to stink! As soon as I say you need a bath, he runs to our third floor shower and waits for his spa time with his manly shampoo. When he gets a professional bath once a month, and we bring his signature scent. Often getting compliments about how good this shampoo smells. After a lot of trial and error it smells better than professional products!

A little of this shampoo goes a long way and yes, it is heavily fragranced. But, quite honestly, I use a little on the top of his head and neck and he smells just luscious.

I bought this shampoo for my show shih tzu puppy to use until his hair got longer for something better. The smell is overpowering, nauseating and doesn’t last. I bathed him weekly and it dried out his hair even with using conditioner afterwards. It might be good as a once a month or once in a while shampoo but I wouldn’t recommend using it often.

My husband who uses an old spice body wash on himself (which he has often used on the dogs) loved the cedar and spice smell and lather of the Him shampoo for our bird dogs. Our Brittany Jasper smelled just like daddy and the white parts of his coat were nice and bright. This really is a great product for the retrievers and flushers, especially the boys.
