I have an extra-large cat (Turkish Van) with the charming habit of standing as tall as he can to pee. Finding a litterbox that's actually large enough has been a nightmare. So many litterboxes have little ridges, or openings for handles right where he likes to pee. For years I have made do with subpar litterboxes, doing things like stuffing pee-pads in the handle openings, or wiping pee off the ledge with toilet paper every day. I was overjoyed when I got this box--it's actually big enough! So many measurements for boxes seemed like they would be fine, but were really for the largest dimensions, so he actually had almost no room to turn around. In this box, he can comfortably walk around without brushing the sides. I never thought I would spend so much money on what is a plastic litterbox, but now I'm eagerly waiting for this to be restocked so I can replace all my litterboxes with them! The green color is super cute too. The cats love it too--this instantly became their most used litterbox.

This is a large litterbox, with plenty of space for my 13 lb baby to manuver, but, the entire rim of box was dented in multiple places that have the potential to break. Other than the damage, and my fur baby not using it as I had hoped - (I had hoped by having a front entrance she would enter the box and turn so as to urinate against one of the higher walls. Note: She doesn't squat when she urinates so I must clean the floor multiple times per day.) - it's a beautiful box.
Perfect for Older Cats
This is just what my older cat needed. He has arthritis. The low entry makes it easier to go and do his business. The high walls help when he can't squat to pee

I have always had cats and never had one that did elevator peeing before. One of my cats stands near the sides and squats but as he’s peeing raises his butt and the pee goes over the side. I currently have litter boxes with 10 inch sides but they weren’t tall enough. I have been looking for a long time for a litter box with even higher sides and saw this one. This box has 13 inch sides! So far, it has been doing the trick, and I haven’t had to clean up pee off from the floor. I bought it in the gray color. I’m loving this litter box!
