does this helmet have real leather? Also is this helmet made of velvet on the top??

None of their helmets have leather coverings. The material of the outer shell is a sturdy plastic. The inside is a soft lined inner shell some have Coolmax technology in that lining.

Is this helmet more for an oval or round head shape?

Ordered 4x and none of the sizes worked. 6.875, 7.125, 7.25 all way too small and 7.375 way too big

At first, i was a little eh about getting this helmet bc i didnt know anything about it... except that it had a REEEEAAAALLLYY nice price. i remeasured my head to the perfect fit and ordered it. oh man was i happy!!! the helmet is definitely true to size. it is lightweight, easy to keep track of and i LOVE the tiny bit of bing on the top!!!! it looks great and i love this item. i will DEF recommend this item!! just measure first for the ´perfect fit´ im so gonna tell ALL my horse friends abt this so we can all be matching :)))
