I have a fierce chewer who loves to destroy anything we can play tug-of-war with. This one is so strong she actually backed of super rough play, it made her teeth bleed slightly. Don't get me wrong that's fine, she just needs to slow down and she still loves playing with it. One star off because it's sewn so tight you can't hear the squeekers, but I'm not sure how negative that is.
We only had this toy about two days. The dog always plays with the toys in front of me. I noticed she was pulling on the black binding on the center of the toy. When I examined the toy the binding itself only looked a little frayed. Not enough for concern. Long story short a day or so later she was horribly sick and coughed up a ball that had formed from the frayed fuzz. It’s not string. It was fuzz. I know at the first sign of wear I should have taken it away but the material was deceiving. It didn’t look like any had been taken off just frayed. I never allow my dogs to have string or rope toys for this reason. I am writing this as I wait at the vet to see if anymore is in her digestive system. Please don’t buy this toy.
Puppy still chews on this toy and plays tug-a-war frequently.
Was a little hesitant to get this toy because of the price. At first it seemed too high. But we’ve bought our dog cheaper toys but he destroys them in a few days. This toy is tough and at 85 pounds of pooch he hasn’t been able to destroy it yet. The only thing I wish was better is the “squeakers” in the toy are a little hard to squeeze. The sound of that squeaker would drive him bananas but he still likes to tug and play with it. Could recommend for any large dog who chews up the cheaper stuff too quickly.
Bought on June 10th and destroyed by August 18th. Not worth the money. Avoid this item. Can't download a pic of the destroyed item. The one above is from Chewy.
This one also only lasted 15 minutes before it started to die. However, it's been doing better than the other one that is also from tuffy
My girls love using this to play tug with or just to entice each other to play.
My dog can we a chewer but isn’t bad by any means. He broke open this toy within 5 minutes and I had to throw it out. Lots of plastic inside and he kept trying to eat it. Not with the $$$
Toy lasted a couple pull events between our Wheaten Terrier and our Bernese Mountain dog. Then our Wheaten had 15 minutes alone with it and chewed it in half.
Very surprised, for a plush toy this has entertained both dogs for sometime. Usually my chewer destroys plush toys but this one has lasted very well. Dogs play tug-o-war with it regularly and is holding up very well.
