Can I shorten the length if I get longer than I need? Also, does this hold if you have a reactive dog? For example, if he lunged to chase a cat or another dog, would this hold? I will be outside when in use.

The tie out is adjustable, up to 100 feet long. The tie out is made to be very durable and is designed for use with large and active dogs.
Is this zipline able to hold two dogs? Or do you recommend two separate ziplines?
Answer by • Sep 08, 2022
The manufacturer does offer a kit on their site called the "add a dog" kit that allows you to have 2 dogs on one main overhead line, but we recommend a longer run (at least the 150 foot) so that the dogs can have space at each end to roam without tangling with the other. There are slider/pulley stops included so you can limit travel of each dog to a section of line. For large breeds, it is recommended a system of their own. However, you know your pet best and what they are capable of in terms of strength. The lines have a 900-pound breaking strength.
what is the maximum weight the system can hold?
Answer by • Aug 18, 2022
The manufacturer typically recommends a maximum pet weight of around 125 pounds as a fair upper weight limit, but the demeanor and activity level and how the dog behaves while tethered overall is more of a factor than their actual weight. An aging 150 pound dog who just lays around will not be an issue, but an 85 pound dog that spends his whole time tethered trying to escape and get free could be a problem potentially.
How long is the coiled cable that connects the dog to the overhead cable?

The whole lead line assembly that hangs down from the pulley or slider (depending on version) is about 6-7 feet long while hanging on its own (this includes the static 3-foot detachable leash) and then stretches out to around 12 feet depending on dog size and strength. The lead is made up of 3 pieces. The short coil and yellow bungee at the top, then the long red coil that does most of the stretching, and then the 3-foot-long static lead line.
