I'm sure it's cheaper for them to produce this way, but it's dishonest to omit that from the pictures and description of the item. The materials and the finish look incredibly cheaply done, especially for something with "deluxe" in the name that you're charging 90 dollars for.

So I looked around chewy and bought a few options. As always, Chewys customer service was great! My husband out this together in the time it took for his tea to brew. I love that it’s a ledge for our cat to sit and enjoy the window but it’s also got a great scratching post and he took right to it.

Almost Perfect
My Kyri loves this platformed scratching post. She immediately took to the scratching post and uses it regularly. Now it’s her favorite nap in the sun and chipmunk

The 4 star rating is for the “faux fur” covering. Very thin material and doesn’t cover the entire platform top and underneath. The design is great! Construction and materials not so much. But for the price point, it meets expectations.

Sturdy but shredding
Had this 2 1/2 months. Very sturdy. Looks great and cats love it. But noticed a few weeks ago that the seam was shredding and that’s not the area the cat climbs

Maybe just a fluke but a bit disappointing because it’s otherwise great. I’d like to recommend but I’m not sure I’d take a change unless your cat has no claws.

I have been through many scratcher/cat tree combos trying to find one my picky cat will actually use. He is not a fan of sisal rope for the scratchers and they are often too wobbly as a cat tree when he jumps on and off. While he does not use this much for scratching, it is the first sisal one that he has actually used. More importantly, the scratcher is solid as a rock and does not wobble when he lounges on the second level. Note: I was so impressed with this one that I bought the larger three level version. Unfortunately the quality on that one is significantly worse both in the sturdiness of the base and the sisal scratching material. Sadly, I will be returning that one. I still highly recommend this two level version if the quality is the same as the one I purchased.
