How do these treats "control plaque and tarter for better dental health" when sugar is the 3rd ingredient on the list?

I have no idea how they taste, but my babies love them. My 2 year old Rottweiler will actually wait patiently for this treat. If you know anything about Rotties you know they're high energy. My 5 year old border collie/shepherd mix is set in her ways, but even she pays special attention when I pull out this bag. They like other treats similar to these, but these seem to be their favorites.

They claim these treats are long-lasting but they must not know what it means to last long. My dog devoured the whole thing (figs 1. & 2.) in 3 minutes and 40 seconds

They claim these treats are long-lasting but they must not know what it means to last long. My dog devoured the whole thing (figs 1. & 2.) in 3 minutes and 40 seconds (fig 3.) That’s not very long. However it is a sign that she fw it heavy.
