Feeding Instructions
If 2% of a typical horse's weight should be fed each day, a 1100 pound horse needs 22 pounds of feed per day. At least 25% of this -- 5.5 pounds -- can be beet pulp. Shreds can be fed all at once or split up between a morning or evening feeding. They can be fed alone or mixed with other feeds. Some nutritionists recommend soaking beet pulp pellets at least 30 minutes prior to feeding. Dried beet pulp will remain feedable for at least one year so long as they are kept dry.
The 11/64" inch diameter of our pellets should significantly reduce the choking risk associated with feeding. However, it is never possible to eliminate choke risk completely.
As with any change in feed ration, it is best to change a horse's feed gradually. As such, we suggest substituting no more than 25% for the first two weeks in order to allow the horse's gut to adjust. After that, most horses can consume up to 50% of their overall diet as beet pulp.

My horse has been on an all-forage diet for quite some time now. After a recent surgery she became depressed and a little uninterested in eating her pellets. When I added this to the top of her feed, she started eating all of her food again.
Good for very old toothless horses.
It's ground up fine so my 36 year old, toothless horse can eat it easily when wet.

Our 26 yr old gelding has limited chewing due to very worn teeth. He is not able to eat/get much nutrition from hay anymore. I am adding this to his grain am/pm to help him get a more complete feed. He loves it and after one bag is already looking and feeling better. I will continue to feed this product. As it says on the bag, we always soak it for an hour before feeding.
Not very good
It's way too small and doesn't absorb water. Can't use it for horses unfortunately

DUSTY
Very dusty compared to stanlee, takes longer for it to break down and alot more water. But I have to purchase at times when stanlee isn't available.
