The finish on the item was very good. Often metal items are poorly welded and may have sharp points or edges. Everything was done well here. The latch is easily worked but secure. You get an extension kit so when the gate is installed there is not a space between the outside frame of the gate and the wall that a curious pet could get their head stuck in. Makes for a finished , custom look.

Works well as a gate to keep cats separated. To fill the doorway, I do need to put a baby gate at the top (and have to duck to get through then), but overall, does what I needed. I love the cat gate at the bottom to allow the cats easy access when I want to allow them the freedom to go back and forth.

We bought this to keep my mother in laws cat from coming upstairs while we integrated a kitten with our 2 cats. I Sam sad to report that my mother in laws fat cat can indeed clear the 56" tall gate. Which was so disheartening because it was easy to setup and felt of good quality. If you have jumpers, this might not work the best for you. I'm leaving a 5 star because I foolishly thought it would work and there isn't anything wrong or defective.

Absolutely excellent exactly as advertised even better simple to put up love the extension love the little door course it is for my cat so I did put a baby gate on top of it because they do have that 6 ft plus vertical jump but it's absolutely awesome I highly recommend this product

It worked in the beginning and the bar size/distance apart worked for keeping our kitten separated from the other cat in the house until she found a way to jump

It is a tall gate and is working how it’s suppose to but somehow my kitten figured out how to jump up to the top and leap over it.
It doesn't get in the way when not needed.
It really helped when we got a cat and a kitten and our grand dogs came for a visit. Created a nice barrier without them getting overwhelmed

Great for Integrating New Cats

The only complaint I have is that all three extenders should be included with the purchase. I purchased the medium gate because my hallway is 39". Without the extension and with some modifications, we got the gate to fit, but one of my cats could still slip through the sides. I wrote to the seller and they sent me the smaller insert and that worked better, but still needed some modifications so that my smallest cat couldn't skip through.

This gate is the second one I've purchased. Although I haven't set it up yet, I was so pleased with the first one that I ordered a second one. The first gate has been easy to use so far and is sturdy and attractive. It was fairly easy to set up as long as the directions were followed closely. This first gate has a latch mechanism that works well, making the door easy to open and close. The addition of a kickplate is a great feature that stabilizes the door.
