Doesn't stay well in place

The top of the gate won't stay flush as the screw doesn't hold the top in place. The end to screw in isn't threaded so it doesn't hold. Poles aren't drilled evenly

The top of the gate won't stay flush as the screw doesn't hold the top in place. The end to screw in isn't threaded so it doesn't hold. Poles aren't drilled evenly so the tabs don't slide in. The poles aren't long enough to comfortably hold the feet. We made it work but expect it will fall down as soon as the cats start leaning on it. We might nail it into the top of the door jamb.

hi. We tried to put this together and the parts were an issue. Where the bolts are supposed to screw into the top of the gate there are not screwed threads. It’s just solid so there’s nothing for the bolts to screw into. Poor design, disappointed chewy was great. Sent us a label. We’re waiting for a refund.

Cat's attraction

Roscoe has not stopped playing with this since I charged it. He has claimed it and doesn't want Dorian to join in.

The gate was made for cats. The bars close enough together a cat would not be able to get through. Also, the gate was tall enough a cat was not able to jump over. We bought the gate because our cats are still getting used to each other. The gate lets them see and smell each other with our harming each other.

This gate is excellent at what it does, which is keep pets from crossing a doorway. The installation is quick, opening and closing is smooth, and if you tighten it well it stays in place pretty good. Also note that if you need to fit a narrower door than what’s listed, the cross pieces are plastic - a few minutes of light work with a hacksaw can size this down for smaller openings. One thing I’ll agree on with other reviews, and what I’ve taken the star off for: the instructions are not very well written or clear. You definitely have to look closely at the diagrams to puzzle out how it goes together, but once you figure it out assembly isn’t too bad. I’ve got two of these now and they’re really helping me keep my cats out of places they shouldn’t be.

Unsatisfactory

The concept seems good, but does not succeed. Very hard to assemble because there is no identification for ANY parts to correspond to their very poor instructions

The concept seems good, but does not succeed. Very hard to assemble because there is no identification for ANY parts to correspond to their very poor instructions for assembly. Obviously because of language difference. Metal and plastic parts seem to be good quality. Vertical tension rods/adjusting screws were very hard to figure out. The worst issue is that there is ZERO HORIZONTAL ADJUSTMENT. ZERO. This gate is far too narrow for my opening I need to close off. i will try to figure out a DIY fix to make this gate work to separate two areas in my basement. I do like the clean lines of it and it will allow air flow. Overall using the main section of the gate will be nicer with some DIY for mounting it than if I had made an entire DIY closure. But advertising was very UNclear about ZERO horizontal adjustment .

This gate works as intended. The pros: It's pressure mounted, so no damage to your doorway or chipped paint. It comes with multiple latches that can be placed anywhere on the gate. It's easy to use and does what it's supposed to. It's fairly light, which comes in handy when assembling the gate. It's tall enough so that no pets will escape. These points could be considered cons: It's confusing to assemble. The parts did not fit together well for me and I experienced minor difficulties. The instructions are not as clear as they could be. Another user pointed out that this gate needs frequent adjusting and tightening in order to do its job. I have also found this to be the case. I go out of my way to tighten the pressure-mounted poles daily to keep this gate functioning properly.

I ended up giving it to a friend, because I did not take into account the “lip” on the door which makes our door ways smaller. This gate did not fit properly. It was easy to put together and the material seemed sturdy enough for our kitties. I would have kept the gate, had it not been for my measuring blunder.

Cat problem solved!

The gate is sturdy, easy to install, a door that opens easily for humans. The cats can’t get over it.
