I know in the descriptions of these types of treats it often says "natural" & "un bleached", but it seemed like they are cleaned alil too much. Both my monsters completely ignored these treats, as well as the other antler burr I bought. I guessed maybe they were bleached? Or just cleaned way to thoroughly, as it seems all the scent has been completely removed. Not sure. But I think these are a great product & great idea. I'd buy again if they were left w/ more of their natural scent & other nutrients/goodies
Four dogs, four rejects
on Jan 11, 2018
I m so disappointed! I have four dogs, all Pit Bull mixes one is a teething four month old puppy, one a fifteen month old....all that are chewing machines. They love bully sticks but go through them in minutes. I had hoped these large antlers would give me a little peace and quiet but not one of them would even try one. A huge expense to now have as dust collectors. I even spread cheese on them to get the girls to at least try them. They licked the cheese off and that was the end of their antler adventure. Boo hoo.
Much wider than pictured
on Jan 16, 2018
The antler I got is much wider than depicted, and it's hard for my dog to balance it between her paws and get her whole mouth around it, which frustrates her. She's a 7 month old small mini aussiedoodle (12 pounds) just to give you an idea. She'll lick the ends, it's clear she likes it, but it's really hard for her to chew it like a normal chew. I also like how it's an all-natural chew that seems sturdy enough to last for ages, but I wish it was similarly sized/shaped like the picture.
Not very dense

I've bought several antlers for my dogs from different pet stores. They usually have a pretty good weight on them and last a few months. I ordered 3 of these from Chewy and 2 of the antlers were pretty light. I gave the heaviest one to my hound, who's a super chewer and it's holding well. I gave the other 2 to my dogs who aren't as big of chewers. My 60lb German shepherd is doing okay with hers, but in just one night my 40lb cattle dog managed to chew hers down to half of its size.
It also took me a while to pull the stickers off each one, as they were just ripping all over the place. I didn't get all of the glue off, but since my dogs eat whatever paper they can find, I highly doubtI've bought several antlers for my dogs from different pet stores. I guess it's pure luck whether or not you'll receive a good antler. I'd rather spend an extra few bucks on each of them to know they're gonna last a while.… more
True to size

This review is strictly based on product comparison. I have yet to give my dogs antlers so I'm not sure how they'll take to them however, that has nothing to do with the quality of the product. I ordered the 8.5+ inch and received a 9 inch, substantial bone. Company calls them extra large. As you can see in the picture the competition's GIANT antler pales in comparison. The price was far better for the size and quality I received. I will definitely order again if my dogs like them & I am hopeful that I will be equally as happy about another purchase.
Perfect for our 79 pound baby

Our Joey LOVES his new antler. He has carried it around with him since Christmas morning. He is able to grasp the antler with his paws and chew away. Everything I've ordered from Chewy.com has been awesome and definitely as advertised. I LOVE not having to go to the store to purchase food. No more back breaking lugging of a 40-50 lb bag of dogfood!
Best buy in a long time!

As a owner of two German Shepherds, we go through antlers so fast. Lately I have been noticing that split antlers are becoming a thing in many pet stores. My dogs go through them so fast (about 3 hours), I just couldn't keep up. So to come to Chewy and see a deal on whole antlers was amazing (plus two day shipping), I was ecstatic. I ordered two of the 8.5+ and I'm highly satisfied with not only the length, but also the width of the both of them. My dogs have been working on the antlers for about 2 weeks now, and just finished off the first one. I will definitely be buying again, when they come back in stock.

Wow! My 2 dogs chewed through this in 4 days! This is the first time we purchased the x large elk antler. We were very disappointed that they chewed through it so quickly, the antler has a wider opening and allowed them to reach the marrow without a challenge. We will go back to buying the large elk antler, it is just as long but the opening is more narrow and lasts at least 7 months before it is to small for them to safely chew it.
My PitSki mix
on Jan 2, 2018
My pit husky mix demolished a $35 antler in less than 3 days. Unreal. I have bought antlers for her before, as they are the only thing that seems to last. I figured I would go with the bigger one, but what a disappointment. Won't buy that again. (The pic is what's left after less than 3 days)

The first time I ordered, the antler was very dense and took my pup two months to eat. Got our second one today and it was so dried out it weighed nothing. My pup has eaten more than half of it in only two hours. I was super impressed the first time but now I'm not sure. I may order one more just to see, but the inconsistency is very frustrating. Two months versus two hours.
