How many cups per pound of dog food?

There will be approximately 4 cups per pound of kibble. The 20 pound bag will have close to 80 cups, the 30 pound bag close to 120 cups.

The list of ingredients includes L-carnitine - isn't this sourced from meat (or dairy)?

V-Dog uses a vegan source of L-Carnitine.

I don't see a puppy v-dog product, can large breed puppies be fed the adult formula and be given a supplement? Does v-dog sell these supplements?

At this time, V-Dog does not have a puppy formula available. This food should be fed to adult dogs only.

Great Product

I’ve raised two other dogs on vegan dog food. This product is my favorite so far. My latest dog was so unhealthy looking when I brought her home from the shelter

I’ve raised two other dogs on vegan dog food. This product is my favorite so far. My latest dog was so unhealthy looking when I brought her home from the shelter. After a few weeks on this vegan dog food she is bright eyed and her coat is so shiny.

Legumes in dog food cause heart failure

Our corgi is 6 1/2 years old and has eaten v-dog since she weaned off puppy food. At her annual exam our vet found that she had significantly high levels of ProBNP

Our corgi is 6 1/2 years old and has eaten v-dog since she weaned off puppy food. At her annual exam our vet found that she had significantly high levels of ProBNP (the hormone that indicts strength in the heart muscle and is a biomarker for heart disease and failure). We followed up with an echocardiogram at another vet clinic and they found that our dog had early signs of dilated cardiomyopathy. She also told us that dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs has been linked to dog foods that contain legumes, which V-dog unfortunately does. This was news to us. It goes without saying we’ll be changing our dog food. Food for life

This food keeps SHUSHU healthy. My past 2 dogs were a Bichon (LACEY) and a Maltese (MIMI). LACEY developed stones (around 8 years old) so the doctor recommended

This food keeps SHUSHU healthy. My past 2 dogs were a Bichon (LACEY) and a Maltese (MIMI). LACEY developed stones (around 8 years old) so the doctor recommended special food. MIMI had a heart condition (around 6.5 years old). Doctor informed us that she had 5 months to live. In the meantime, he recommended special heart food for her. Well, LACEY and MIMI were in each other’s food. It became very difficult to monitor them while they ate. I decided to remove both of their specialized foods and give them V-DOG. Giving them V-DOG was the best decision. LACEY lived till she was 15 years and MIMI lived till she was 14 years old.

Better for my dog's belly

I tried multiple different food brands for my dog, but he always had stomach issues. My brother recommended this brand, so I switched about a year and a half ago

I tried multiple different food brands for my dog, but he always had stomach issues. My brother recommended this brand, so I switched about a year and a half ago. My dog's digestion has been sooo much better since and now rarely has diarrhea or runny stools. Recommend.

Dogs loosing weight

One of our dogs has a severe allergy to animal protein so we’ve needed to put our other two dogs on vegan/vegetarian kibble to help reduce exposure. We’ve tried

One of our dogs has a severe allergy to animal protein so we’ve needed to put our other two dogs on vegan/vegetarian kibble to help reduce exposure. We’ve tried a few different vegan foods to find the best fit. This food, for some reason out of all of the ones we’ve tried, has made them drop weight quickly, even with doubling their typical kibble amount. They seem hungrier more often, but almost no gas, which has been an issue with other foods. We’re going to be switching off this food and back to Halo because that has about double the fat and they were able to maintain their weights on that one. If someone has an overweight dog, this might be a good fit, but for young/middle age (3 & 6 y/o) healthy/fit dogs, it just didn’t seem reasonable to give them the extremely large portions they’d need to not become skin and bones. I suppose I’d like to see VDog offer a higher fat food, at least 15%, perhaps adding more omega 3s and 6s.

Cruelty free dog food

VDog allows you to nourish your pup without harming animals. I have a 16 year old 90lb plot hound and a 10 year old 50lb mix who are thriving. My vet approves

My vet approves and always compliments them on their teeth! It’s also great for dogs with allergies- no more rashes/ear infections. Highly recommend! Also, love their breath bones.
