Feeding Instructions
Nutriblend small pellets are ideal for Small to medium parrots such as Ringnecks and Alexandrines. Nutriblend should be fed as your bird’s primary diet (80% of daily feed consumed). The remaining 20% of the diet should be made up of healthy fruit and vegetables (15%) and a small amount of treat foods such as nuts and seeds (5%). Daily Pellet Recommendation: Vetafarm recommends that parrots are fed a minimum of 10% of their bodyweight in pellets per day, for example: 100g Ringneck (or similar): provide a minimum 10g Nutriblend per day. 250g Alexandrine (or similar): provide a minimum of 25g Nutriblend per day. These feeding recommendations should be used as a guide only. Be sure to check with your veterinarian for more specific information if your bird has special dietary needs due to a health condition.

Birds love it
I bought this to provide variety in my birds forage boxes. They seek out the pellet and both conures enjoy them.

Smells like play dough
This food smells like play dough. Pretty gross, and my parrot refuses to touch it.

Color and size
Since she was just learning to see if she liked it. I like it. It was a smaller bag. I did not overpay for it.

Not for small birds, but good pellet feed

I selected this product because it was advertised as "small bird" food. However, once I received the bag, it says "small pellets" that are for "medium - large parrots" with like, a sun conure and bigger birds imaged. So, these pellets are WAY too big for my two parakeets. They wouldn't touch the pellets until I ground them up. With the smaller size though, the colors are fun and I like the included supplements and fruits.
Finicky birds/not a negative review

Apparently we have finicky eating birds. They refused to eat for two days when we replaced their normal food with this food. I don't think it's because the product is bad, I just think they are stubborn. We tried numerous brands of bird food in the past before we found one they really liked so I am not blaming this product at all. Please don't consider this a bad review. The texture and colorful pellets were pleasing to the eye (for me but I'm not a bird). I had hoped that we could find a product that they liked that had more nutrients in it but apparently they are junk food junkies.
Just another rainbow pellet
I currently have a small parakeet. I have owned larger birds in the past and I’ve always found it difficult to get them to eat pellet food. I think these pellets
I currently have a small parakeet. I have owned larger birds in the past and I’ve always found it difficult to get them to eat pellet food. I think these pellets are too large for small beaks. A cockatiel might be able to handle these. A Quaker or similar sized bird definitely could. I suppose these could be ground into smaller pieces.
