Packaging needs to be rethought
I was excited to try this product for my nearly 9 year old female terrier mix, Scout. She recently has developed some joint problems although she's been on a supplement
I was excited to try this product for my nearly 9 year old female terrier mix, Scout. She recently has developed some joint problems although she's been on a supplement for years. My vet suggested I try an adjuvant therapy before we move to prescription. This product came just in the knick of time. When the package arrived, the product had leaked out and created a bit of a mess in the box. It wasn't even a hot day that this arrived on. Everything wiped clean and thankfully there was no strong odor. Per the instructions, I am to use two clicks per day for Scout's weight class meaning this product should last 30 days. The product dispenses similar to a deodorant and it's a gel consistency. There really is no smell and Scout had no reservations licking it off the stick. The only reason I've removed two stars is because of the packaging. It constantly leaks. The cap also can generate some pressure and when you go to remove the cap, the pressure pulls the product up. I really dislike the packaging all together and personally will not purchase because of that.

It really works—within 15 - 30 minutes, I saw a noticeable difference in my almost 12-year-old Saluki’s hips. He loves the taste, and the format makes it easy to lick and absorb. One hiccup: it didn’t dispense at first but turning it upside down fixed the issue. Impressed with the results. He is back to doing longer walkies with stronger hips!

This product is great in concept, but execution needs better quality control. The product is a gel-based oil inside a plastic unit not unlike a deodorant stick that you twist on the bottom, releasing the product that your dog licks off. The issue is that the container leaks. Fortunately, the plastic stick came tucked inside of a box, so it wasn’t a complete mess, but the box had oil stains, and there was yellow oily residue on the dispenser unit. As far as the product itself being effective, I have one active middle aged Toller who is prone to wrist sprains, and a senior Golden with an arthritic hip. Both seem to like the taste of the supplement and could use whatever help they can get to ease their joint pain. Once I got the container cleaned up, it was fine to operate and give proper dosing.

Both of my dogs have no problem taking pills/supplements, so I can understand how this might be useful with dogs who don't, but the overall design is messy. The tube is pressurized, so the cap doesn't go back on without the gel leaking out. When it was delivered it had also leaked and made a mess. It's also somewhat impractical if you have multiple dogs with both of them trying to get a taste at the same time. Overall, my dogs like it, but I wouldn't get it again.

But I think that if a dog was trained they could enjoy this - my girls are seniors and you know what they say about teaching an old dog new tricks! However I have been using this product to flavor their medications, works like a charm! Turns daily pills into a treat that is good for their coats. And gets some more supplement into their joints, and they need all the help they can get, especially with the fall chill in the air

I started using Twist and Lick Hip and Joint supplement on my older rat terrier around October 8. It has been almost a month of continued use. I have seen slight changes in her comfort and her ability to move around. She seems to jump on the couch with a little more ease and interacts more playfully with the other dogs in the house. Licks it right up without a fuss and no adverse digestive issues. Easy to administer.

The dog I got this for doesn't like it at all and if I mix it into her food, she eats less. My other dog loves this stuff though. I haven't noticed any changes while

My main complaint is that when I received the box, the product had leaked and stained the box, and the twister container itself was covered in the oils and stuff.

My dog 'LUVS' this lick stick; he would eat the entire stick if I'd let him. My only problem with the stick itself is it leaks/oozes. Everyday when I pull the cap
