Does this product help with hoof abscesses?

This treatment is formulated for hooves with sole, frog, and heel bulb damage due to thrush, white line separation and seedy toe. It purges & removes pathogens that cause hoof disease.
Is the active ingredient (dimethyl carbinol) the same as isopropyl alcohol?

The Electrolyzed Alkalescent Dimethyl Carbinol that is active in Vetericyn Hoof Care is a mixture and does contain 15% isopropyl alcohol. This mixture also contains electrolyzed water and additional antimicrobial and osmotic agents to render buffering and hyperosmotic functions. Together, these formulation attributes help draw out exudates and purge contaminants and moisture from the hoof.
