Is the active ingredient (dimethyl carbinol) the same as isopropyl alcohol?

The Electrolyzed Alkalescent Dimethyl Carbinol that is active in Vetericyn Hoof Care is a mixture and does contain 15% isopropyl alcohol. This mixture also contains electrolyzed water and additional antimicrobial and osmotic agents to render buffering and hyperosmotic functions. Together, these formulation attributes help draw out exudates and purge contaminants and moisture from the hoof.

Bottle seal and top Defective!

I had a large order from chewy, I don't know if it was the way it was packed or possibly jostled with heavier objects that ruined the seal. But at some point it

I had a large order from chewy, I don't know if it was the way it was packed or possibly jostled with heavier objects that ruined the seal. But at some point it tipped over and slowly dripped and grew a great blue pond in the plastic bag. I took it out and saw the seal had lifted but also it was leaking from the twist. It won't close. Ever. The bottle is defective. I have not found out how to reach out to Chewy and request a new one. SOS Chewy! I'm just a girl with smurf hands and a bottle in 4 plastic bags!

Most used brand at the barn!

We use this at our local horse rescue and on our personal horse to treat and prevent thrush and seedy toe. It works well and we like that it stains the hoof to check

We use this at our local horse rescue and on our personal horse to treat and prevent thrush and seedy toe. It works well and we like that it stains the hoof to check if it needs reapplying when grooming in the days following treatment. It will also stain hands, boots, clothing. It does wash off hands in the shower and is still worth using. I do wish it had a slower spill out, even with a tiny tip to the nozzle. The treatment is a thin liquid and can easily be spilt or dripped.

This works well for thrush. I like the way it quickly soaks up into the foot so you don't need to worry about it staying in place after application. The previous bottle I got had a spray top, this one has a very fine tipped applicator. It makes much less mess than the spray top, and you can be very precise with where you apply it
