Our dog has seizures. When our vet first recommended medications for her, she included Zylkene as an alternative to stronger prescription medications. It has helped to calm her although she still needs stronger medications to suppress her seizures. The good thing about Zylkene is that it can be used when needed if for some reason she becomes anxious or agitated. We can also give it to our other dog if she needs calming.

Look for smaller changes in mood. We split one capsule amongst 3 cats. We started with a loading dose, splitting one capsule twice daily. We noticed after 2 weeks a more serene family of cats! We now give once nightly with dinner and it still works. I have tried this in the past and didn’t document the changes so I didn’t see that it worked. But it really does. Don’t give up.

People often recommend supplements to help you solve the problem with a pet, but it can be hard to tell if the supplement is working ornot. Do you think maybe you see a tiny improvement, or maybe an intermittent improvement? But you're not really sure? But this product most definitely does work. I Foster a lot of High needs, traumatized, and new mother, cats for our local shelter. These cats are often stressed so badly that they won't . They won't groom themselves. They're just totally shut down. When I start them on this supplement, they usually feel settled enough to eat bythe next morning. This is super important when I'm fostering a mama kitty with new babies, who really needs to eat in order to keep making milk and caring for the babies. There's not much time to lose with appetite problems when you have 6 to 8 tiny babies, depending on the mama kitty nourishing herself and drinking water. My house is never without a large bottle of this product so that the minute I see signs of stress related starvation, I can turn it around.

We've tried a lot of medications for our anxious Jack Russell mix. This is the only one that has made a difference. Our vet advised that not all dogs will get a benefit because not all dogs have the "receptors" that allow it to work, so she gave us a trial Rx and it did work. We then order a 90 count capsul from Chewy at a much better price.

Our girl is very reactive and Zylkene was recommended by our vet. The Zylkene is helping her stay calm long enough in some instances that she can respond instead of just reacting. It's early times yet but seems to be helping her.
