What Is Periodontal Disease? 

Periodontal disease begins when bacteria in the mouth form a substance called plaque that sticks to teeth and forms dental tartar. Bacteria in the plaque and tartar can spread below the gumline and into the bloodstream.

How Do I Recognize Oral Disease?

There are many signs of oral disease, including bad breath, bleeding or red gums, or brown deposits (tartar) on the teeth. However, not all signs are easily recognizable, so it is important for your pet to routinely see your veterinarian for proper evaluation.

This water additive contains active ingredients: Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Zinc Chloride and the inactive ingredients are Purified Water, Trisodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Benzoate, and Zinc chloride.

Is the whole bottle only good for 30 days or is the finished water mixture only good for 30 days?

My vet recommended I purchase this to add to my pups dental care routine. My pup was abut off it at first (i put it in her fresh bowl of water in the morning). She didnt drink it until the end of the day and then she's been fine ever since. Her breathe has been noticeably much better and we are almost done with the first bottle. Will definitely be repurchasing!!

My dog noticed right away something was different about her water. She drank a little and wouldn't drink anymore. After several hours, I gave her a fresh bowl

My dog noticed right away something was different about her water. She drank a little and wouldn't drink anymore. After several hours, I gave her a fresh bowl of water without the Veradent in it, and she drank it all right away. So did not work for me. I am using the vanilla wipes now to see if they make a difference.

While I can’t smell it and won’t taste it, it is very easy to use. Dee Dee smells and tastes something because she will not drink all day if this is put in her water

While I can’t smell it and won’t taste it, it is very easy to use. Dee Dee smells and tastes something because she will not drink all day if this is put in her water bowl. The cat could care less and drinks it with no issue. After trying to introduce DeeDee to several breath fresheners I have gone back to my original choice. While it doesn’t do the job I am looking for, DeeDee will drink it.

Be careful with this product. I followed the serving size directions but within a week, all three of my cats were puking regularly (and they never do). I looked up the ingredients and it sounds like this is not uncommon. I'm very concerned that this is a product my vet recommended and that Chewy sells. I am hoping my cats are ok and don't have more serious side effects.

Chewy vet recommended this after mentioning, my furbaby was not a fan of dog toothpaste of any flavor or letting me brush his teeth. I was interested in trying it for several reasons, 1-I was shocked to find other products contained xylitol, which is harmful to dogs, this one does not. This one is also colorless, odorless, & tasteless which is perfect for my picky guy!

Per vet instructions I use this product every day and also use the vetradent wipes every day since my senior dog last had a deep cleaning. He’s had outstanding teeth

Per vet instructions I use this product every day and also use the vetradent wipes every day since my senior dog last had a deep cleaning. He’s had outstanding teeth since this daily routine started and vet and I are both very happy with the outcome and goal is to not need another cleaning given sedation can be hard on older dogs.

My dog had bad breath and I would brush her teeth but her teeth still weren’t healthy and they were deteriorating. I use this water additive and it works with keeping the plaque from building up and creating a long lasting healthy effect on her teeth. She is picky and doesn’t like much of anything. She didn’t drink her water for a while since she knew it was added but eventually she started drinking it so I continued to add it to every other bowl

No smell or taste

I put this into my cat's water fountain for preventative dental care. It doesn't have a smell and I don't think my cat can taste it. The directions on the back are easy to follow for adding it to different amounts of water, and it has a nice little cup for measuring. Great product.
