I tried the Vetradent Veggie Small Dog Dental Chews Treats 30 Count for my older dog, Pinball/Maltese. He did not care for them. He's a picky. So it's a working progress. They are a little soft to the touch. They have a good fragrant. You can pull them apart. I also tried them out on Duke/Husky. Even though they were for small dogs, he loved them. Hee was able to chew it apart and eat the smaller pieces without any issues. The chews did not upset his stomach. Over time his breath smelled better. It comes in a nice package bag with all the ingriendents listed and the bag is resealable. No artificial flavors or colors. Next time I will get the larger ones.

My 5-year-old, 10-pound pup Max was immediately excited when he saw the bag — he knew something tasty was coming! I gave him one, and while he was interested, he wasn’t quite sure what to do with it at first. He carried it around proudly, left it in his bed overnight, and later went back to chew on it some more. He seems to enjoy it more as a “carry-around” treat than a quick chew. When my sister visited with her pup (same age but a bit bigger), we gave her one to try — she devoured it right away and loved it! Both dogs handled them well with no tummy or digestive issues. Overall, I’m happy with the ingredients and the quality, but since the treats are a bit large for Max, I’m giving 4 stars. Still, worth a try — especially if your pup enjoys a good, hearty chew!

Perfect for Petite Pups

I have never been successful giving my chihuahuas and pomchis the hard dental chews. The hard chews are difficult to chew if the pup is missing many teeth. Vetradent

I have never been successful giving my chihuahuas and pomchis the hard dental chews. The hard chews are difficult to chew if the pup is missing many teeth. Vetradent is different. They aren’t soft, but they are easier to break apart and still clean my dog’s teeth. My dogs love the flavor and are happy each time I give them one. I will be buying these in the future so I can keep my dogs’ teeth clean.

My dog would not eat these. She sniffed, took a bite, and spit it out. I tried again, with the same result, so I gave them to a neighbor with a dog. I had high hopes for a product that would help clean her teeth. They smell fine to me, but there's something she doesn't like about them. They also seem to be a little big for a small dog. The ingredients list seems fine.

These dental treats are softer and you can easily pull them apart. I’ve got small older dogs that don’t like chewing on the hard dental treats, these are are perfect for them!

My dog likes these and it has ridges to help clean teeth. I like that it’s a veggie option but it does have an active ingredient that makes me a bit cautious to give it everyday. I plan to give it sparingly like once a week and supplement the rest of the week with his other dental sticks. It is also thicker than expected for small breed size. I wouldn’t recommend for dogs weighing less than 15 lbs.

tried the VETRADENT Veggie Small Adult Dog Dental Chew Treats (30 count) for my two pups — Brooklyn and Bella. Brooklyn loves them and happily chews one every day. They seem to help keep her breath fresh and teeth clean, which is a big plus! Unfortunately, Bella won’t touch them, no matter how I offer them. Every dog has their preferences, I guess! Overall, great product if your pup enjoys the flavor.
