Very strong odor

The bottle is great; I can easily add the oil to my dogs bowls and don't have issues with it dripping in my fridge like the pump bottles often do. Unfortunately this oil smells so strong and is off-putting to one of my dogs. If I use about half of what he should be getting he'll eat the food sometimes. It doesn't seem to bother my other dog. I've used several fish oil brands and this is by far the smelliest. I thought the first time I used it that it was rancid but I put it in a bowl by itself and decided it's just a strong smell; not the sour smell oil usually gets when it goes bad.

Great product…but

I waited to write this review until I had used up the entire container on my 2 dogs. I have seen great results on their skin and fur. The fur loss is almost non existent now. The only bad part is the design of the lid. Like others have said you do have to squeeze pretty hard..and in the first couple weeks I know I wasted more than I had dispensed to the dogs. But the results outweigh the bad lid design, I’m definitely adding this to my auto ship.

CAP DESIGN IS AWFUL

The cap design is awful. Trying to squirt out a 1/4 teaspoon for your cat is impossible. I over shot the spoon like a teenage boy.... and gets all over the place. The oil itself is very good. The dog and cat like it very much. It does have a very powerful odor than other oils that I have used before. Or it is just I am getting it all over the place not that I can smell it.

WILD ALASKAN SALMON ARE BEING STOLEN

All these companies using WILD ALASKAN SALMON are stealing them! Please Google South Resident Killer Whales on the west coast we are literally fishing them to death! Please buy farm raised salmon I PROMISE it's LITERALLY the same thing. PLEASE LOOK OT UP FOR YOURSELF PLEASE

Poor cap design

The instructions say to give out a teaspoon per cat per day. The cap/lid doesn't allow you to easily portion a single teaspoon. To get the oil out of the container you have to squeeze pretty hard and by the time it starts letting out the oil you have a 1/4 cup or more all over the place. Poorly designed product packaging. Also my cats don't like the product. Even when fully mixed into their food.

Dogs Love It

We’ve got a Golden Retriever and a Pitbull/Dutch Shepherd mix. The Pit mix has extremely sensitive skin so we have always added some type of fish oil to his diet. We decided to try this because Chewy is such a great company. Our dogs both LOVE it!! Yes, as other reviewers have stated, it smells like fish. I would be worried if it didn’t…it is fish oil. The smell doesn’t stay with them though. Have it on auto-ship now.

Sounds Great

I received a sample of Vibeful - Vibeful Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil Formula Liquid Skin & Coat Supplement for Cats & Dogs from Tryit Sampling Community. I thought this would be a wonderful product because my 18 year old cat Pumpkin suffers from dry itchy skin. Both of us go nuts when he scratches so much. I thought it would give both of us some much needed relief. I put some, not much for the first try and it wasn't 5 minutes later and Pumpkin threw up. I gave it a try two days later and the same happened. So I am sure this is a good product, but maybe for a younger cat that doesn't have a sensitive stomach.

Works great

I have both dogs and cats. I tried this for the first time for them and I did notice a difference on there coats. My daughter and I pour some first in there food container then mix it with our hands so it's evenly distributed, as we have 3 dogs. We did same with our two kitties. At first they sniffed it, tasted it then ate it. So they like it and I did notice after a week or so, they looked more sleeker. It does have a fish smell and is oily. Comes out fast.

Great results

I have two dogs - one an American Pitbull which we don't typically have issues with skin/hair wise, the second - An American Bulldog which has every issue under the sun, between rash's, skin sensitivity and shedding... good grief! This helped tremendously with some of his issues - of course they didn't completely go away, but definitely helped. The only issue we had was some stomach upset while getting used to it (I also may have been putting to much to begin with)

salmon oil

I've given my dog various brands of salmon oil for the last couple years, never in the quantity recommended, do i did the same with the Vibeful, giving him about 2 tsps rather than the 5 recommended for his weight. He managed to leave a lot of oil in the bottom of his bowl. His stools became mushy and slimy, and after a few days he refused his food. I stopped the oil and reintroduces it after a few days, but at only 1 tsp. I doubt this is doing much good for his dry skin. I will not be buying this product again.
