Questions & Answers

Is this available in dropper or tablet form?
Answer by ChewyAug 17, 2018
This product currently isn't available in dropper or tablet form. Instead it must be squeezed from its narrow packet. I've included a picture for reference.

If my dog weights about 50lb. Should I still only give her one packet a day?
Answer by ChewyApr 13, 2021
This item is for pets 20 lbs and under. The next size up is the Virbac Allerderm Omegaderm EZ-Dose Packets for Medium & Large Dogs which is for pet's 20 lbs and above. The dosing would be 1 packet of the large.

Doesn’t like the taste

I drizzled this on my kitty Aurora’s seafood pate hoping she wouldn’t notice, or like her food even more since it’s fishy. Unfortunately she took 1 bite and wouldn’t eat the rest of her food . :( I bought this instead of the capsule because of the ease of use. You just cut the packet open and drizzle on the food. I purchased this because my vet recommended omega 3 for Aurora’s dry skin. I’ll try mixing in half the packet next time to see if she does better with that. I’ll update my review if she tolerates it. Aurora is very picky!

Hoping it helps

Received about 10 days ago. Purchased because my 7 year old has very dry skin. The vet calls it Seborrhea. So I’m hoping it helps. It actually looks like it is. keep your fingers crossed.

Works great!

Really helped with the fur regrowth and skin journey my 9 year old Pom from a puppy mill has been on. I got him in June 2022 and he had been shaved down for probably his whole life. His fur has terrible texture and was completely missing in several spots. His skin was flaky and scaly. Within a month of starting this his fur completely turned a corner. I had been using some other fish oil prior and had noticed no significant change. He likes the taste and eats it well.

Love this product

I use this for my cat in the spring and in the Fall. She gets a really dry coat with the weather change and gets very itchy, this takes care of it every time.

He doesn't like it

I think it's a really good product was hoping that he would like it but he doesn't even tried it on my other cat just to see and he won't touch his food with it mixed in either but it was worth a try.

So far so good

After about it a week of using, I can see a difference with the amount of dry skin/dandruff my yorkie-poo has. In addition, aggressive scratching has decreased. My only issue is, he doesn’t quite enjoy his meals. The taste seems to over power the flavor in the meal.

Didn’t work for itchy dry skin.

I have a 2 1/2 old Havachon this is the second year in a row she scratches constantly & pulls clumps of her hair out & she looks miserable. Always this This time of year. Last year I used American Journey Alaskan Salmon oil & it worked great after 2-3 days, but it stinks & the bottle makes a mess so I thought I would try the allerderm Omegaderm she has been on it for 9 days with absolutely no relief so yesterday I had to order the Salmon oil again.

Not for fish Lovers

I bought this for my cat because our vet recommended a fish oil for his fur. Easier said then done. I bought several fish oil products and he hated every one, then I researched and found this which is sunflower oil based. He ate it the first time, YEAH but then on the second try, told me to eat it myself. I put it in a few different canned foods but no luck. It does not have a strong odor so must be the oil taste.

Good product

It's a good product, I'm just having trouble getting my picky cat to eat it daily so I haven't seen full results yet.
