is this cage suitable for a pair of breeder keets nest box

This cage is suitable for a pair of parakeets. The cage recommended for a single pair should measure approximately 24 x 12 x 16 inches, this one is bigger measuring 24 x 15 x 34.5 inches.

What is the spacing between the bars?

Is the bottom open when the cage is lifted for cleaning?

Once the top and bottom of this cage have been separated, simply lift the bottom grate (which holds down any litter or substrate) and you're ready to clean.

Not suitable for budgies

Just bought a Prevue F040 for my budgies to replace this cage after 2 years. Overall, I regret purchasing this. 1) It’s a pain to clean. There is no pull out tray,

Just bought a Prevue F040 for my budgies to replace this cage after 2 years. Overall, I regret purchasing this. 1) It’s a pain to clean. There is no pull out tray, so you have to remove the entire top to get to the bottom. The only saving grace was that the metal grate is removable so that I can easily clean the bottom of it, but that’s it. 2) Awkward dimensions. The recommended *minimum* dimension to house a budgie is 18”. This cage is too narrow with its length being at 15”.
