Does this food contain Taurine?

Taurine is an amino acid that is naturally abundant in meat. Dogs can actually create taurine on their own from the amino acids methionine and cysteine (also abundant in meat) - and for this reason, they do not have a dietary requirement for taurine, only for methionine and cysteine. Since Vital Essentials diets are nearly all meat with no plant ingredients, they will contain ample amounts of all three of these amino acids.

Seems Like Mostly Veggies

My dogs are not at all picky eaters, but they both picked out the green beans and one picked out the blueberries and left them on the floor. In spite of the fact that chicken is the first ingredient, the second is potato (followed by green beans and zucchini) and the bag looks to be mostly full of vegetables with very little meat. I also don't understand how they calculated the calories...my dog lost too much weight even though I spent a lot of time analyzing the kcals. Who lists kcals per bag? Most companies list kcals per cup. I will not be buying this product again.

Love that this is a freeze-dried food but it's a solid nib, similar to a size of a kibble, which makes it super easy to use when training my dogs! They also eat

They also eat this as their meal and always go crazy for them. Since using Vital Essentials exclusively as my dogs food for their meals, their poop have been super solid and no longer stinks!
