Cats love these!
By AmyJ on Feb 1, 2021
My 1 yr old Tuxedo is the pickiest cat I've ever owned. He refuses to eat anything I feed him but yet is always meowing at our pet pantry door. I finally figured out it was an old bag of these I had tucked away and forgotten. I gave him one and have regretted it ever since! He scratches at that door about 20 times a day wanting one of these. I bought him a different kind thinking all freeze dried minnows would be the same but I was wrong and he refuses to eat the other bag. My Maine coon loves them too as well as my dog. They're very healthy too which I love about them. Highly recommend for all cats and dogs but especially the picky ones.

My cat LOVES these!
By NyxR on Jan 12, 2021
I bought these as a special treat for my cat. He LOVES them. SOOOO much better than the cheaper brands. These fish arrive whole every time and they are larger actual minnows not teeny tiny things. I gave one to my dog and he sucked on it and spit it out (guess he doesn't like fish) but my cat rushed in to eat it before I could pick it up and throw it away. Zero smell to the fish. My cats coat has become softer and more shiny since hes been eating these. Just wish they werent so expensive, but you have to pay for quality. I have autoship for these as my cat loves them so much! He sees me enter the room they are in and he comes running hoping he will get one!

Isopods, dogs, and cats love these!
By Bear on Feb 20, 2021
I purchased these for my isopods but share them with my dogs and cats as high reward treats. They absolutely love them! It’s very cool to see the isopods and springtails eat these down to the bones and then the bones themselves! Awesome food variety for isopods and treat for dogs and cats.

Favorite high value treat
By Twohungrypups on Feb 13, 2021
This is our favorite high-value treat for training. The fact that it’s a single ingredient means we know what’s in it (for our allergic to everything baby) and they are small enough to give repeatedly without worrying about ruining their feeding schedule. The dogs are crazy about them; they prefer it to cheese!

great training treat for my fussy dog!!
By Michellina on Jan 5, 2021
I have an exceptionally NON-food driven puppy who historically turned her nose up at anything we offered her, both as meals and training treats. I swear we tried everything!!! At 6 months of age we finally found these freeze dried minnows that are a turning point. She loves them and will do anything we ask of her in an effort to get some. These minnows are whole fish. This is important because there is another brand you can find at the local big retail pet store and that brand is all bits and pieces and not particularly easy (or appealing) to hand out as a treat. One other huge plus is that these minnows are 100% natural with nothing added in. The Vital Essentials brand are perfect.

They were okay
By Yinna on Feb 20, 2021
The dogs love stinky fish. They had no complaints with these. It's not that I have any real complaint over them there are other dehydrated fish/minnows that I prefer. thought I'd give them a try but won't go out of my way to buy them again.

Love at First Treat
By Ruhi on Feb 16, 2021
My puppy is obsessed with the freeze-dried minnows! I've been trying to stick to less ingredient/single ingredient treats and these are perfect. My pup goes wild for them and is always on her best behavior for them! 10/10 would recommend.

A favorite in our house
By Alex on Feb 4, 2021 Top 500 Contributor
These are freeze dried minnows, as in the whole fish, eyes and all. I probably would not have bought them for my dog had she not loved them so much when she visited one of her littermates. They are a high reward treat and she will do just about anything to get one.

Great for picky puppies
By bullymom on Feb 8, 2021
Tried to teach my new puppy potty and crate training but she didn’t like the Apple/pumpkin treats I already had. She eats these minnows like chips and I will be buying other flavors from this brand as my puppy continues to grow.

He's Obsessed!
By CD1994 on Dec 12, 2020
My 6 month old Jack Russell/Dachshund mix Jerry loves these things. I thought they were really gross at first, but in reading about healthy treats I found that freeze dried/dehydrated single source proteins are some of the best you can give, so I got over it. These are *very* high value to him, so I use them exclusively for crate training since he was struggling with that. He probably goes through 10-15 minnows a week and we've been working on the same bag for about 3 weeks now, so it's a good value for the money. I'd say give them a try!
