I’m actually surprised by the bad reviews. I’ve been using this clipper since they first hit the market and have never had any issues. They are light and ergonomically friendly to your hands. Granted, as a pro-groomer, I know when and when not to use these and what type of hair they will glide through efficiently, while using the heavier duty attachment combs. (You buy those separately.) They’re not made for heavy coats and double coated breeds, unless the coat has been thoroughly washed, dried and combed out before use. Even then, they’re really not meant to be used for bulk work. Used on a Poodle, Doodle, Bichon etc...they leave a nice clean cut with absolutely no tracking lines. They work great on touch ups, clean faces and feet, as well as pads and sanitary areas. I keep two pair, along with a pair of heavy duty cordless to do all my work. Cons: you must blow the hair out and oil the blades after every use for, longevity, which has nothing to do with the clippers, itself.

I bought these just over a year ago and hadn’t used them. I took them out and charged them up 4 months ago and they ran fine. I decided not to clip whiskers and ears so I put them away. I went to get them out the first week in August 2020 and they will not charge and they will not run. I have called and written to Wahl numerous times with no response. I also wrote to them on their Facebook page and still nothing. No customer service at all. I have found several of these for sale as “refurbished” so there is obviously a problem that Wahl does not want to address.
