Questions & Answers

Where is the kangaroo bred, and where is it processed?
Answer by ChewyMay 17, 2020
These treats are made with 100% freeze-dried Australian kangaroo. They are made in the United States.

Since this is only one ingredient as is the dog version, is this OK for dogs? You are out of the dog version.
Answer by ChewyOct 02, 2018
These treats have a high amount of protein formulated for cats. These treats are not intended for dogs.

Does this contain liver or ground bone? I feed my cat a raw diet and want to know if I have to decrease her intake of these as I would with the other cat treat flavors (duck, rabbit have bone and liver listed)
Answer by ChewyJan 10, 2018
The only ingredient in this product is Kangaroo Meat.

Kitties Aren't Fans

The pieces are rather large and none of my three cats like them.

They seemed really interested in the smell but.....

My cats love treats but I only will get them freeze dried. I thought this would be a great change for them but no one likes them. They are REALLY hard , not sure how they are supposed to eat them they are like tiny rocks.

Seal Breaks Very Easily

The only issue I had is how easily the seal breaks. It just peels off the inside of the bag, essentially. My cat didn’t like the product, but that isn’t their fault. My dog did love them though.

Can’t get enough!

My boy with severe food allergies loves these treats! He goes crazy as soon as he sees the bag. Love having novelty, grain free proteins he can have and is excited about!

Good for boys!

1 of our cats developed an allergy to chicken and finding a product with no chicken or by-products is difficult. Bart loves these treats and now we can give both cats a yummy now and then.

We Are In Love

I spend a lot of time searching determinedly for food items that meet everyone's dietary issues. These Walk About treats are a real find!! My cats will assault you for them. I think the Minnows are the #1 favorite, but the Kangaroo is not far behind. I mix both right into their dinners: dry or canned. Add a splash of hot water, and voila! A nicely-mixed, tasty meal. And of course, our resident feral cat has been neutered thanks to the lure of those Minnows, which got him into a carrier for -- *ahem* -- you know. He doesn't like to talk about it. But he still LOVES Minnows (and Kangaroo)!

2 cats and it was a bust

I had high hopes reading the reviews but 2 cats won't touch it. I even tried putting cheese on it and watched while one still turned up his nose and the other actually tried it. I was pumped!... then he spit it out. I left a couple treats on the floor overnight in hopes that they would give it a try. One was gone and I got excited but found the other one was batted across the floor. I hate to not recommend it because obviously some cats like it. I thought at least one of my two guys would like it, but no. I've never sent anything back before. What do I do?
