Questions & Answers

4 Customer Questions

Are these treats rather hard? (Vs other freeze dried treats that almost flake or crumble apart)
Answer by ChewySep 09, 2020
These treats are gently freeze-dried giving them a slight crunch.

Is this raw meat?
Answer by ChewyJun 28, 2019
These treats are gently freeze-dried to lock in flavors and nutrition. They're not raw.

What are the rabbits used to make these treats fed? I have a cat with allergies and one of the things he's allergic to is grains. I know that in some cases what the protein source was fed can trigger reactions. I would like to know if these are safe for him to eat
Answer by ChewyAug 22, 2018
The diet of the rabbits used in these treats range from vegetables to grains.

Is the rabbit cooked or raw?
Answer by ChewyNov 26, 2023
The rabbit is freeze-dried.

Both big and hard

Too big for a cat and hard as a rock. Cat unable to chew these. BUT our dog loved them.

Freeze Dried Rabbit Gets Cold Shoulder From Our Seasoned Huntress!

Our elderly huntress, Faith, doesn't get around as easily at almost 18 years old quite like she used to. She has lived mostly indoors in our lovely countryside home with daily trips outdoors her entire life. Even though she's got a bum hip, a tricky shoulder, and an almost ticked out ticker (she's living on love), she still hunts and eats her prey, just not as often anymore. So, we thought these freeze dried rabbit treats would be a wonderful treat for her and boy were we utterly shocked when she would not even look at them! I mean she had the wickedest aversion to them that I have ever seen from her in the almost 18 years that she's graced us with her presence. She loves rabbit, as my daughter and I who are forever scarred by the scenes depicting her preference for baby rabbits can attest. I have no idea why she won't even look at, smell, touch, taste these, but she won't. She's never done such a hard pass over anything like this, ever. Makes me wonder if something's not copacetic with them to be honest.

They are a hit

My cat has food sensitivities and only eats rabbit. I was having issues with the 2 treats I get for him. Chewy is now offering a few new choices, he loved the Walk About and the Dr Pol. They have replaced Instinct and Vital in our house

Fussy pants cats love these

And so they should. For the price these are gold nuggets haha. They are given on very good behavior, but they love them, so Paws up for these!

Cat can't get enough! Loves the new crunchy treat!

I'm surprised my cat can chew these but chew them he does and he loves them. He can't have normal treats due to his bladder issues. He can have these though and loves them! Get a bag and see if your feline likes 'em! I know i'll keep buying this nice smelly treats my Sal Loves!
