Got this for my dog as he has degenerative myelopathy and it was listed as a good back leg support harness. I got the size that the measurements indicated and it is technically the right size, but the fit is really odd and seems like it’s doing more harm than good. I introduced it slowly and all that, and he doesn’t try to take it off or seem bothered by it but it doesn’t make helping him up any easier and he can’t walk well with it on because it’s oddly bulky. For something that is supposed to help him walk, it just seems to make it more difficult. And it says they can go to the bathroom with it on, but they can’t if you don’t want a pee-soaked harness. The most annoying feature is the handle/strap. Instead of making it simple by having the straps unbuckle to take off and on, it’s all one piece so you have to loop it around your dog while or after you put the harness on which makes it so frustrating to manage even with a perfectly patient, still, fully unbothered dog. It may work for some, but definitely didn’t for us. Hopefully I can return it and find something that works, otherwise it’s a huge waste of 50+ dollars.
