Instructions
Place the boot securely on your dog’s paw.
Wrap the soft Velcro strap around the leg above the hock joint (bony protrusion), with the paracord and toggle looped between the strap and leg.
With your pet standing, gently pull up on the paracord and down on the toggle to adjust the amount of lift needed. Tuck the excess cord under the small branded Velcro tab and fasten securely.
Allow your dog to walk in a safe, controlled space to check comfort and ensure the amount of lift is appropriate. Do not over-tighten.
Size
Measure across the widest part of the paw when the pet is standing.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions – Original Toe’sUP Anti-Knuckling Aid
The Original Toe’sUP Anti-Knuckling Aid is a supportive device designed to help dogs who tend to knuckle or drag their toes during walking. It gently encourages more natural paw positioning during movement.
Knuckling occurs when a dog’s paw folds under instead of landing flat on the ground. This can cause the top of the paw or toes to scrape the ground during walking.
Toe’sUP uses a lightweight, elastic connection that helps lift the toes into a more natural position during movement. This can reduce toe dragging and help improve confidence and safety while walking.
No. Toe’sUP is not a rigid brace or splint. It is a flexible support aid designed to assist movement while still allowing natural motion.
Toe’sUP is commonly used by dogs experiencing:
• Knuckling or curling under of the rear paw.
• Toe dragging or paw scuffing during walking.
• Neurological weakness affecting proprioception (paw awareness or coordination).
• Progressive rear-limb weakness.
• Gait irregularities related to injury, aging, or neurological challenges.
• Mobility changes during recovery or rehabilitation.
• Age-related decline in strength or coordination.
Toe’sUP is intended for supervised use during activity, such as walks or short movement sessions. It can be worn for multiple hours at a time, but should be removed during rest and should not be worn continuously unless directed by a veterinary professional.
No. Toe’sUP is a supportive mobility aid and is not a replacement for veterinary care, diagnosis, or physical therapy. Always consult your veterinarian if you have concerns about your dog’s mobility.
Toe’sUP is designed to support movement, not cure underlying conditions. Results vary depending on the dog, the cause of knuckling, and how the aid is used as part of a broader care plan.
Yes. The Original Toe’sUP features adjustable components to help achieve a secure, comfortable, and flexible fit. Proper adjustment is important for effectiveness and fine-tuned comfort.
When properly fitted, Toe’sUP is lightweight and designed to be comfortable during movement. Most dogs adjust quickly, especially when introduced gradually.
Toe’sUP is designed specifically for rear paw use. For front paw concerns, Walkabout Harnesses offers other supportive solutions.
Sizing is based on your dog’s measurements and weight range. Always refer to the provided sizing chart and measuring instructions to ensure the best fit.
Toe’sUP is generally recommended for controlled movement, such as short indoor walking sessions or outdoor walks. It should be removed during rest or when your dog is lying down.
Start slowly:
1.Let your dog sniff and investigate the device.
2.Put it on for short, supervised sessions.
3.Gradually increase wear time as your dog becomes comfortable. Positive reinforcement can help with the adjustment period.
Toe’sUP is most commonly used for adult and senior dogs. For puppies or young dogs with complex mobility concerns, please consult your veterinarian before use.
In many cases, Toe’sUP can be used alongside other supportive products, such as harnesses or slings, as part of a broader mobility routine. Always ensure combined use does not restrict movement or cause discomfort.
Toe’sUP can be hand washed with mild detergent and air dried. Avoid machine drying to preserve elasticity and materials.
The Original Toe’sUP is designed by Walkabout Harnesses, a company with decades of experience creating mobility solutions for injured and aging pets. Our boots are manufactured both in Thailand and here in the U.S., with components and materials sourced from Taiwan.
