Can I use this to get dog out of car? She will not use ramp or stairs.

Answer by ChewyJun 16, 2019
This sling may be used to assist your pet out of the vehicle however, it is not designed to pick them up completely.

Do you provide assembly instructions?

Answer by ChewyMay 04, 2019
There is an instructional video on how to put the support sling on located next to the product images.

I have an older pug who has trouble standing upright for short periods of time and loses strength in his front and rear legs to be able to walk a good distance. Will this sling help me to support both those front and rear legs at the same time?

Answer by ChewyDec 20, 2018
When sized correctly and worn as instructed this sling will help support the front and/or back legs of your pet.

the sling keeps sliding towards her back legs when I am helping her to climb the stairs. what is the extra strap for.

Answer by ChewyJun 13, 2022
The extra strap loops through the dog's collar and attaches to two points on the support sling to help keep the sling in the proper position.

My dog was losing mobility in her hind end and needed support for walks and going to the bathroom. I started using a towel as a sling and then tried this. Once it was on, it worked pretty well and seemed comfortable for her. Here were the issues: 1) if you put it around the dog's chest, there is nothing to keep it from sliding back to the abdomen, so I just wrapping it around her abdomen, 2) The straps, their adjustment loops and the velcro became a tangled mess trying to put it on. I adjusted the size off the dog and then stabilized the straps with a couple large safety pins each. I then had the straps ready in the handle before putting the sling on the dog. However, then we had to lift either the dog's front or back legs to slide it to her abdomen. This proved to be difficult with her back end weakness unless I had a second person to help. We were able to walk her comfortably for both of us once it was on, but I don't recommend it because of the struggle I just outlined.

Helping Hand

OMG, Our pup had TPLO Surgery. Was def a life saver for her and I. I loved the fact that I was able to adjust the straps, to a comfortable position for myself.

I've only used it once to go to the vets office. I'm having trouble getting in and out of the SUV especially when I start to resist in a panic. Mom quickly wrapped it around me and helped support me to get up the step. Its velcro with a handle sewn in, easy to put on and go. It's nice and soft and well made. I didn't use the additional attachments. Oh thought I'd mention we were in a storm condition with thunder and lightning which scared me but I calmed down after Mom put it on me and stopped trying to bolt and run

Did not work for our pug. Wasted my money. It won't stay in place. I wish I did not buy it.

Our female Terrier is turning 16 in March and she has had some problems with her hips and left rear leg. She is on an anti inflammatory pill and our Vet tells us it is as strong as she can have. We tried adding on a nerve blocking pill but it was too strong and she could not even stand up so no more of those pills . We looked for this type of sling and found this one. The sling allows us to help take some of the weight off of her back legs and walk like a new dog again. You will have to find the proper strap height for you and it only took me a couple of adjustments to get it right. The velcro works well also good and tight.
