One of the aluminum tabs on the back broke the second time I refilled it with crushed oysters. Since the tab on the opposite side still worked, it kept it secure

These are great. I have four smaller coops that I shut my hens in at night and these little containers sit perfectly in the corner. I wanted them to have food and water inside their coops since they do not have access to the big drinker and food out in the chicken run until I let them out in the morning. With my frequent migraines, there have been a few days a month when I could not make it out to open their coops until early afternoon. It has, also, been helpful to have a place for one of my girls, she seems to be the only one to get run off from the big feeder, to go get a bite to eat in peace. ;-)

I picked up a couple of these a few years ago at my local farm & ranch store - I was delighted to find them now on chewy! They have hangers on the back for using
I picked up a couple of these a few years ago at my local farm & ranch store - I was delighted to find them now on chewy! They have hangers on the back for using through wire, but I just attach them straight to a 4x4 or 2x4 with a single screw & washer. I use them out in the covered run & in the coop. Being galvanized, I know they are going to last a long time!
