This product is suitable for chinchillas, as well as ferrets, rats, sugar gliders, and guinea pigs.
How does the guinea pig get into this if it’s hanging from the top?

The nylon straps and clips allow you to fasten the sleeper tunnel to your companion’s cage but is not required. If using for guinea pigs, we recommend placing the sleeper somewhere easily accessible and using the clips to secure it in place.
how long is this? I can't tell if it will fit in the cage

Bought for my rats

My rats don't seem to like crinkly noisy tunnels like this, but they do like chewing the straps off (*face palm*). It's a good quality product though.
