How thick is this pad?

This pad is 3 inches thick. It measures 31 x 32 inches to fit under most western saddles.

Does the pad have more than two layers, a top and bottom? Or, is there a middle layer, also. If so, what does it consist of?

This saddle pad is made up of two layers only and does not include a 3rd center layer. The liner is the bottom layer and the single weave wool blend patterned material is the top layer.

Not as advertised

While this is a very nice blanket, it is not 3 inches thick as was advertised. It is more like 1 inch thick. It does have nice protection sewn in for the spin
