Would this be considered light or medium weight as far as weather protection?

he loves it !!

He / we love this light weight turnout blanket..... We put it on and off he goes... Dakota lies down a lot, and we haven't had a problem with blanket sliding/moving

Inside ripped after 3 days of use

Not a bad blanket, other than it ripped a 2-3 inch tear on the inside of the blanket. My horse used it about 3 days. I only use it when it’s raining, so it’s not

Not a bad blanket, other than it ripped a 2-3 inch tear on the inside of the blanket. My horse used it about 3 days. I only use it when it’s raining, so it’s not used a lot. Not sure how he could have done it since it was up on his back and on the inside. Have never had a blanket breakdown this fast. Would not recommend or repurchase again.
