Is this blanket waterproof? My horse lives outside.

This stable blanket is not waterproof. There are two basic types of winter blankets: stable blankets and turnout blankets. Stable blankets are not waterproof and should only be worn in the stable, trailering, or anywhere the horse will not get wet. A turnout blanket is waterproof and can be put on the horse when they are in the field to protect them from the elements. We also offer the Weaver Leather Premium 600D Mesh Horse Rainsheet.
