Soft and hydrating

Toby doesn't drink enough water and he doesn't bite pate or shreds, he licks it. So when the other cats realize there is food they just eat so much faster than him

Toby doesn't drink enough water and he doesn't bite pate or shreds, he licks it. So when the other cats realize there is food they just eat so much faster than him that I need to separate them, and there's 7 of them, so that's fun. When I feed him this he eats just as quickly and I give them their pate so everyone's happy.

I tried the Wellness Whipped Entrees in all four flavors. The food has a light, silky, smooth texture and is high in protein, which is a plus. My adult cats weren't too interested in the whipped texture, but one of my foster kittens absolutely loved it! She finished her portion and went on to finish the other cats leftovers. So it was a win win for her. I'd recommend this to cats who like the whipped, mousse texture. It's a great option for cats who like softer textures.

The perfect entree for sick or senior cats

FINALLY! I have a Siamese Cat that has to have all her teeth removed due her have genetically predisposed to dental issues. She has been struggling eating both hard kibble and even her soft foods. I was very pleased to find Wellness Appetizing Entrees as a solution for her to be able to eat before and post surgery. I have been struggling finding easy to eat entrees that were NOT all liquid treats. Mocha my Siamese Cat immediately started eating the food. She is a smaller cat so she doesn't eat too much. These packets are 2.8 oz and would definitely feed more than one cat per sitting. Also, the liquid entree is great if you need to give your cat any meds using a syringe. This helps giving the meds a lot easier with the liquid base and smashing up pills or combining with other liquid meds. Highly recommend for sick and senior cats!!!!

Neither of our kitties will take more than a quick lick before turning away

We have one picky kitty and one "I'll eat anything you put in front of me" kitty and neither will eat this food unless we mix it into something else. Both of them

We have one picky kitty and one "I'll eat anything you put in front of me" kitty and neither will eat this food unless we mix it into something else. Both of them love mousses and have never turned down any other brand, but they won't eat any of the flavors of this box. They've liked other types of Wellness brand food that we've given them in the past, so we're surprised they won't touch it. It smells like normal cat food (not spoiled) and they're well within the expiration date. The ingredients sounded decent, so I'm still giving it 2 stars, but I'm still puzzled as to what's in this that made both my cats reject it.

Cats Tolerate It, But Don't Love It

My five cats usually eat pate or shredded meals, so a mousse was new for them. It comes in a pouch where you rip the top off in order to get the food out. FYI,

My five cats usually eat pate or shredded meals, so a mousse was new for them. It comes in a pouch where you rip the top off in order to get the food out. FYI, in case you prefer cans. The mousse itself is quite creamy and rather thick, with only a few small lumps, and I didn't detect any obvious scent. As far as how the cats reacted to the food, it was hit or miss. Each of the four flavors were eaten, but with some initial hesitation. The cats would sniff the food for several seconds, take a few bites, and then wander off to see what the other cats were eating. They would eventually return to finish the bowl, but seemed to do so half-heartedly. This was the case for all four flavors. That's why I gave this product three stars. With food they love, they hoover it down as quickly as possible. With food they hate, they will refuse to have anything to do with it. This food was eaten, but not enthusiastically. Obviously I can't say if that's due to the flavor or the mousse consistency. But since they regularly eat salmon and chicken products, I'm going to hazard a guess that it's the texture that's weirding them out. My cats love Wellness's other products, so I think I'll stick with those in the future.

My 2 senior kitties absolutely LOVE this food! It's most like a mousse in texture and just solid enough to not run out of the bag when emptying it. The odor is very mild and not offensive. My oldest kitty has a very sensitive stomach and this new food did not upset her belly at all! The first time she tried it, she devoured every bit. I usually prefer cans versus pouches, as pouches can be messy and hard to get the entire contents out, but the pouch of this food plus its consistency made for easy emptying. Both my cats give this 2 paws up :)

I really thought my cats would like to try a new wet food and picked Wellness appetizing entrées because of the quality ingredients. The cats had other ideas and didn’t seem to enjoy the mousse texture. It came in a variety pack of flavors that they like so I don’t think it was the taste but the texture that was off putting to them. Even though it wasn’t a favorite of my cats, I think that it would be great for a cat recovering from dental issues or mouth surgery. It is lickable and doesn’t require chewing.

This food has great ingredients, I got the variety flavors. It doesn’t have a weird smell and the consistency reminds me of pudding. One pouch is more than enough
