All of Wellness products are trusted by my family. Just wish Max would eat these. He accepted the first “treat” but turned his nose up at each one. Can’t afford to spend more on another flavor, to risk having 2 containers of drying-up chews. Tried sneaking broken up into his food. Only to have him refuse to eat.
These worked ok for my dog but gave him the worst sour egg farts. I bought the 90 count too, it’ll be a smelly couple of months. I’m bummed because they do seem to work ok and my dog eats them mixed into his food just fine.
My puppy has pretty bad separation anxiety (cries, shakes, then vomits when I am not around). I lessened this to eliminate the vomiting, but she still was crying and shaking. I took my puppy (7 months) on a 2-hour flight. After getting through security with a lot of anxiety, I gave her the chews. After that, she was calm and mostly slept and wasn't bothered.
I write this review after 4 nights of 4th of July fireworks, coming off of 2 nights of thunderstorms. My dog is typically inconsolable in these situations, frantically trying to escape or climb to higher ground. On a scale of 1 to her typical state of panic (10), she’s at a 3 or 4. I’m so happy for her that we found something that works. I see great reviews and a few that say they made no difference. I’ve tried several kinds and this is the one that worked for us. Keep trying different brands and formulas till you find the one that works for your pup. It’s worth it!
I’ve been trying various different brands & types of calming treats on Leo for awhile. These always make him relaxed and sleepy, which is a huge relief. He rests his overworked right hind leg that gets a hard workout every day since the amputation of his left hind leg in December 2020. Recommended!
My pup have moderate separation anxiety. We tried 3 times with this med for our training, but it did not seem to have any effect on her.
These chews seemed to help some. We started giving our dog these a few days before the 4th of July to get her accustomed to them. No problems for digestion or her stomach. It seemed to relax her a bit (she is a very active DDR German Shepherd that gives nervous or anxious during fireworks). It did not remove all her nervousness and that is expected. Just made it not quite so bad.
Do not waste your money. This product did not work at all. I gave my dog the proper dosage according to her weight and it didn’t calm her in the slightest. If anything, I noticed her being my alert during storms and even refusing to go outside to go to the bathroom when the storm at long since subsided. If wellness food is like this medicine, I may switch the dog food I use.
I’m not one to usually write reviews but my dog is the epitome of anxiety. She’s scared of thunder, she cries when I leave the house for any reason etc. after 3 days of giving them to her before I head to work, she stopped crying! Now I can go to work and not be scared my neighbors hate me. The only thing they didn’t help completely was her thunderstorm anxiety. I did see it the tiniest bit help with that but also keep in mind not even vet prescription anxiety meds for dogs were able to combat thunderstorms completely so that aside these are 10/10
Disappointing. I was hoping this would be the thing that would help my dog with thunder, separation anxiety, etc. Unfortunately, it had no effect on my 50 lb great pyr mix. She loved the taste, can probably use them as expensive treats.
