Wigzi Nylon Reflective Retractable Gel Dog Leash

I looked for hours and read reviews to find the best retractable leash for the best price. I bought this one in July and was delivered on July 18th. I loved the weight of it, it felt sturdy and really liked the feel of the gel handle. Today is Thanksgiving. So it is 4 months later and it is out of commission. It started sticking last week. After working with it, I got it to release but the next time I used it, it jammed up again. I did the same thing everyday for about 4 days just so I could use it and it has been incredibly frustrating to try to get it to unstick. I am really disappointed and I can't use it at all now. I was very disappointed when the new leash jammed up in the first week of use. I have contacted Wigzi twice with no response except for the automated "We have received your email". Wigzi was supposed to get back to me in 48 hours. Hah! Doubt I'll ever hear from them. Don't waste your money!

We weren't crazy about the ribbon-like leash on this. It jammed a lot and had to be coaxed back into extending several times. Finally it stuck to the point that we can't fix it and there's not even a way to take it apart and put it back together. Wouldn't buy again.

I've always used a retractable leash. Last time was about 10 years ago. Improvements have been made: cushioned handle, reflective tape. I really like this one.

Chewy is a great company and stands behind their products

The handle is so comfy but my Newfie broke off the leash after 1 walk. The leash material is not strong.

Purchased the medium to use with a 15 pound well mannered Italian Greyhound, and it works very well. Gel grip is great, and the tape glides easily with no jamming issues. The brake feature is different than that on my previous Flexi brand leads (this one requires you to manually release the brake every time the dog lunges and the brake is depressed), and the Flexi brake is preferred. Not a big issue, though. Looked long and hard trying to find a blue retractable leash that carried the blue color from the plastic housing through the actual tape part of the leash. Nice bonus that the tape portion also has reflective stitching.

I have the yellow reflective leash. It works great. The grip is nice, and retracts easily.

The leash no longer locks. It can no longer be used after only 4 months.
