Feeding Instructions
Feed desired amount in a tube feeder with large holes, hopper feeder, platform feeder or on the ground. Keep feeders full. Clean feeders frequently. Keep clean, fresh water available. Feed all year long.

Will any of the items in this feed germinate? My flowerbed is a mess with weeds from a bird seed that wasn’t supposed to germinate.

I paid for Sticks?
I gave this 3 stars because the food itself looks amazing. However, as I dumped the seeds into my container, I noticed a LOT of sticks. I decided to sort the seeds

I decided to sort the seeds from the sticks to see just how much "waste" was in this 5lb bag. As a consumer, I think this is unacceptable. I paid for PREMIUM NO WASTE FOOD with a PREMIUM PRICE! I won't purchase this again and its too bad because there were good quality ingredients in the formula. No where in the ingredients does it say "sticks", so I'm pretty sure the birds won't eat them. In my view, THAT is a WASTE.
Peanuts/Dried Fruit/sticks
I noticed the peanuts and fruit, mostly cranberries have been left behind, as well as some small twigs in the mix. If they know not to eat them, they can use them
I noticed the peanuts and fruit, mostly cranberries have been left behind, as well as some small twigs in the mix. If they know not to eat them, they can use them to build the nest. Not sure if this is why they are there? I’m reading that dried fruit might be too tough to digest and it should be softened. The peanuts might be too big for the smaller birds, but I do get a lot of Jays, woodpeckers, cardinals and doves who are also leaving them.

So if you want the sunflower seeds without the mess of the shells. I realize peanuts have gone up guys but raisins are cheap so why not throw in a few more of them just to try & balance it out. Product is always fresh.
