What is it about the harness that prevents the dog from pulling?

The harness features a front D-ring that helps discourage pulling by redirecting the dog’s forward momentum. When the dog pulls, the leash attachment at the chest causes their body to turn slightly to the side—or even toward the handler—making it difficult and uncomfortable to continue moving straight ahead. This redirection interrupts the natural pulling reflex, teaches the dog that pulling is ineffective, and encourages a loose-leash walking style. It’s important to note that while this design helps encourage dogs not to pull, it isn’t a substitute for attentive handling. Great care and responsible supervision are always needed when walking a dog to ensure safety for both the pet and the handler.

I loved the set up of this harness. It fits perfectly. The No Pull ring at the chest is right where you need it for a Frenchie (other harnesses are too low and the dog gets tangled in it). The only problem is if your dog pulls - I am buying a no pull harness for a reason - the material slides through the adjusting clasp and ends up at the largest size every day.

This weights almost 1 lb !! Straps too thick -1". The rings and buckles are too big, it's too bulky and Heavy rings and buckles, thick straps. Once adjusted the buckles and hardware hit my dog in the area of her leg that could cause excess rubbing. Won't use, will donate. Could not get it adjusted without an issue on the dog. Bulky, heavy. Disappointed.
