Questions & Answers

8 Customer Questions

Is this made of safe, non-toxic materials?

Answer by ChewyApr 23, 2025
The Pupsicle is made from a non-toxic, BPA and Phthalate-free natural rubber.

Is there a trick with screwing it together, and unscrewing it?

Answer by ChewySep 20, 2025
To put it together, just align the two halves and screw them together by hand, using light pressure. There’s no need to overtighten—just a snug fit will keep it secure for pups to enjoy. To open it, unscrew the halves by hand. If it ever feels stuck, gently twist back and forth rather than using force, to avoid any damage.

How often can you give pups a Pupsicle treat?

Answer by ChewyJul 25, 2025
These can can be used as an everyday treat.

Does it come with a pack of the pops to put in it?

Answer by ChewyNov 30, 2025
This product listing is only for the dispensing dog toy.

Bought this to go with the hugely overpriced WOOF treat freezer tray. Santa brought both dogs at Christmas. I regularly use the Kong ones (frozen) but they are tricky to stuff and i thought it would be fun to mix it up. I used the recipes for a few batches on the WOOF website (I really dont care for either the ingredients or the calorie bomb of the mixes) but both dogs were angered by the Treat That Keeps Rolling Away. Neither found the banana/yogurt concoction I made, compelling enough to chase their treats. I think the tray is fine. But unnecessary. If you are going to use the dispensers, just fill them with whatever and screw the top on. Pricey mistake overall. Bought Large size and regret it. Donated

I ordered two large blue Pupsicle dog toys, but received two small blue Pupsicle dog toys instead. I thought it would be okay, just a little small, and gave it to my larger dog anyway. He loved the treat, but chewed the toy up pretty good. It will not last more than one or two treat sessions. Waiting for a sale to order another two LARGE Pupsicle toys. Hopefully the correct size will ship next time. Also, the large treat balls I purchased for the large Pupsicle toys did arrive, but did not fit into the small toy. Tried cutting them to fit but they crumbled. I'll wait for a sale on the large treats too. Oh well.

I purchased four of these hoping to use them continually for special occasions with all 4 dogs. 2 of the 4 were interested and occupied. The other two lasted a few minutes and were frustrated enough to leave it be. They would have rather eaten the treat than lick it. Sadly, that included the birthday boy. Next birthday we will stick to the things we know make him happy!

Great puzzle

The toy itself is made of firm rubber, which is what sold me on it. Older golden has broken teeth trying to open hard plastic toys in the past, so I didn’t want to risk giving him anything like that. This material is perfect for him. All 4 of our dogs have one now- all love this thing. It’s also a great way to mix up brain work- this allows them to lick/settle without the mess of a lickmat. We use frozen pumpkin; other 2 family dogs have had success with frozen broth.

Great enrichment for surgery recovery!

My dog is recovering from ACL surgery and I got this for her to keep her busy while she is laid up an unable to walk. I filled the freezer molds with chopped rotisserie

My dog is recovering from ACL surgery and I got this for her to keep her busy while she is laid up an unable to walk. I filled the freezer molds with chopped rotisserie chicken and chicken broth and she goes crazy for it! I feel so bad that she is unable to walk but I love that this will keep her entertained and having enrichment for a solid 20-30 min.

Disappointed

Really hoped this would provide my senior dog who can’t chew like she used to the ability to focus and relax. Unfortunately, the product does not deliver. Bought both the premade lick balls as well as the rubber molds to freeze liquids etc. The premade rounded treats were frustrating for her and she barely made any progress. The treats that I froze were only slightly better. The main issue was the plastic container did not open or close easily. It was beyond difficult to get it to thread and turn down to the lowest level so that the treat would be pushed up and out the front hole for easy access. Both of us gave up on this. Do not recommend.

I bought a large and a small in the green color. With heavy duty pliers I’m able to open the small one, but the large one impossible. I’ve given up using it. I also bought two small ones in the light blue color and those open easily andI love them. I would give the easy to open ones five stars but I can’t use the screen one and I’m hoping to get a refund.

My dog loves homemade snacks in this!

I love this treat holder and so does Norma! I bought the refill thing and I really like that I can make healthy, natural snacks for her so easily. I’ve been freezing

I love this treat holder and so does Norma! I bought the refill thing and I really like that I can make healthy, natural snacks for her so easily. I’ve been freezing a mixture of canned pumpkin and low fat yogurt and she LOVES it. The pre-made refill balls that this brand makes also work well and they take much longer for her to eat, which can be a plus. They’re just pricey. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of durability. She’s left a lot of teeth marks and small tears even with supervision.

Poor quality

I got this for my 9 month old collie who is about 40lbs and not a tough chewer. We've only had it for a month and the rubber already has gouges and tears on it

I got this for my 9 month old collie who is about 40lbs and not a tough chewer. We've only had it for a month and the rubber already has gouges and tears on it. She's never left unsupervised and only uses it for intended purposes. Love the concept, just really disappointed in the quality, especially at this price point.

Stuck again

My dog loves it. I hate it. I have bought 2 of these. The first one got stuck and I couldn't get it open. Blamed it on myself and bought another one. This one

My dog loves it. I hate it. I have bought 2 of these. The first one got stuck and I couldn't get it open. Blamed it on myself and bought another one. This one got stuck too. I even used canola oil to keep it moving freely and did not let it sit long after my dog was done with it but it did not work. Soaked it in the sink for a good while but that did not work either. I will not buy another one.
